Anyone bullish on Whitfield , his role looks like a wingman sort of picking up easy disposals?
Dunno yet ... don't like pure wingman myself this year ... looks like they tried to play him in nearly every position to find (determine) a role ...

Hately, Butters popping up as good scoring rookies. Caldwell too. Good stuff.

Ben McKay and Parker looked like good bench options too

Seems like we have a pretty large pool of rookies this season - does that make GnR more viable?

I was pretty impressed with Caldwell today. Did some nice things and seems very composed. GWS are so blessed with their talent. They are like a hydra. If they dont win the flag in the next couple yrs, they will never win one.
Probably the most inane comment I've seen here.
Norths last flag was 20 years ago, judge us in 13 years time for any kind of relevance

Bailey smith to join the 1st round pick group

was always going to be the case with last years draft being the "best ever" and the real lack of cheap options as well

Can anyone explain Mills scoring from his game? I have him in my team but after watching last night I was thinking maybe not. Then he scored 100+
No clangers helps but I didn't think he did a whole lot and going at 5+ pts per possession is not sustainable. He did start at 15 centre bounces though so should get his chances

I only saw parts of the game but I thought the same as you. He had 0 clangers, 7 tackles, DE 89% and only 18 disposals with 73% TOG. So a really efficient game. I'm not sure if this is a good sign or not because he could collect the ball more but his efficiency and clangers may go south a bit. He also had a game high 15 centre bounces, so that's a good sign. In my team atm, but am 50/50 on him. Sydney lost and not sure how their backline held up in that first quarter, so Horse may swing him back at some stages of the year I'm guessing.

Very efficient. He is a classy player so I expect he will go at a decent efficiency but not that high. With those 15 centre bounces he only had that one centre clearance and 18 possessions which worries me. Might need to wait and see how his next game goes

Whitfield is a proven class player, I'm not sure he will be a pure wingman, as players play multi roles these days and Whitfield can play other positions.

I wonder how many start Rd1 though?
