Looks good but Hawks missing O’Meara, Smith, Wingard etc from that midfield group.

It’s so easy to read too much into JLT games. I know you have to take something out of it but how often do young 3-4 year players get thrown into the middle in JLT and look awesome and then not get a look in no matter the state of injuries/resting of other players etc when the real season comes along.

Agreed. I dont know alot about him/his role in the Hawks set up, or even if he is best 22. Was just floating it out there to get some info.

There were rumours about more midfield time for he and Worpel but to be honest I don’t even know if he is a best 22 player yet.

They still have O’Meara, Shiels, Scully, Wingard, Smith, Henderson to come back in of which all play midfield and doesn’t leave many spots left.

I don’t know if they are looking to put other guys into the middle outside of Cousins or Worpel but I’m sure there are some other names floating around too as the list is pretty shallow after the best 16 or so players on their list.

Yes, Oliver getting very busy early on. 4 tackles as well so far..

The tackles is a key indicator for me regarding shoulders, so many come back from shoulder injuries and the first think I notice is lack of confidence through lower tackle numbers. Doesn’t look an issue for Oliver

I'm not sure Clarry knows how to do anything without going 100% at it.
That's great for those taking him in their SC team, but it makes me worry, as a Melbourne supporter, about his longevity in the game!

I had all but ruled out Oliver with the caveat that a very good JLT could convince me that his shoulders are right. Going to be hard not to start him now with the way he's playing.
