So little team news in this sport, shame Perth play before Cairns, if Waardenburg were to miss I would boost to Pinder.
I think this is one of the big considerations why I’m bringing in Pinder this week. To get Waardenburg back to Forward and for the flexibility of benching him for Bannan / Klintman if he misses.

Also really like Pinder’s match-up vs NZ and in his DGR next week. Hearing a lot about Cotton this week but not much about Pinder. He could explode against an undersized NZ lineup.

The concern with Pinder is the constant foul trouble... Already fouled out 4 times this season and had 4 fouls in another 2 games.... Needs too stop with the stupid fouls.

Cairns injury report is reassuring with no Waardenburg even listed. Means I don’t really need to trade Pinder in to be conservative. Opens up the option of whether I want to trade for a Doolittle or Armstrong etc instead.

Think I will opt for McDaniel > DooLittle over Robinson > Pinder. Still get the Perth exposure with their DGR next week but Doolittle is practically guaranteed to make some cash.

1st trade is already locked in which is Travers > Lamb.

If you’re holding Klintman you could VC one of them
That's not actually going to work... As you can't select an emergency on the bench in NBL. You just get stuck with a 0 from a starting player.

Say you pick Cotton VC... he goes off and you want his score as C... Then you are forced to take a donut onfield to get that score from Cotton which isn't worth it.

Your lowest scoring emergency comes on field. So if the player you bench gets 25 and your lowest scoring player gets 10 you only miss out on 15 points

Good pick-up... though it seems it takes the lowest score from all 5 bench spots regardless of position, so you still could be looking at a single figure score coming on to the field just to take the C loophole.

More than likely not going to be worth it.

I don’t think that is right. My reading if the following is that you will get 100% of a bench score with a DNP on field. Same result as if you had the bench player on field.

I suppose that it does mean that you get 100% of your lowest scoring bench player so it is still suboptimal.

I had assumed that it would be the lowest scoring emergency from the position that had the DNP but reading it again after seeing this it does read like it is the lowest scoring of all 5 bench players. That seems a bit silly to me.

You can’t move a bench player on field from a different position to cover a DNP however this is effectively what happens when using an auto-emergency.

NRL is the same. Lowest bench score fron any position.

Yes it does seem a bit silly... you would think it should come from the same line.
