Most will have him with 2 early doubles and his preseason form so really those with him as Captain will hurt most even though many of the alternate captains haven't exactly performed.

I still find it annoying that I now have a player on field who will give me no points in a game and I have a player sitting on the bench (Sarr in my case) and I can't get to use it all as a full replacement score.

Yeah this argument comes up everytime there’s an early injury. 2 questions pop up for me. If he got 40 none of us would want an injury replacement. How do they determine what score would be deemed low enough for an injury replacement?

I am not saying you can replace his score from game 1. You are stuck with that. I am staying you should be able to get a bench score for the game he misses (ie game 2).

Cook, Ayre to Sobey, Deliavedova my R3 trades. (9 DGR 1 SGR).
Will that leave you light on for DGRs in R4? If not, looks pretty good, otherwise I would look to keep one of Cook or Ayer, but I guess we will know more about Ayer after his next game and Cook injury update before next round.

After 2 trades will have 6 DGR 4 SGR in R4 but only 3 teams have DGR anyway.
R5 and R6 can be stacked too with 2 trades in each.
All depends on injuries though.

K.Galloway/Henshall > Grida/Blanchfield (80k itb to facilitate these moves) or even Olbrich depending on score this round

9 DGR + Cook for round 3

Prior to trades for round 4, these players have the double

Cook
Hukporti
Dellavedova/Travers

Might trade to an Adelaide player like Wiley to get a full starting 5 with the double

Reading this felt like ingesting cough syrup through a scratchy throat. Brutal turn around from week 1, stings more than NBA fantasy cause at least I can scour through waivers for recovery. 🥲
If it makes you feel better, he is in almost 90% of the top 10% of teams, and almost entirely on field. Due to his double and decent score in R1, his price will barely change, and if he plays the following game, he won’t have a ridiculous BE in R3 because his R1 score will still count for his price change. Then thanks to his R4 double his 10 won’t count to his price change after R4.

I honestly think it isn’t the end of the world and it will be interesting to see how many people trade him even if he plays in R3. If he doesn’t play, then I would trade, but doubt I will otherwise.
