Ended up updating to 1045. Fifita’s try assist came through so that got me a fair few extra points.

Not too unhappy with my round considering I tried to loophole and copped ravalawa’s 12. Hopefully have a bit more luck the coming week and some changes to my team.

Thinking Burns will be an important trade in this round and I can only see 3 options for getting him into my team:

1. Downgrade Napa and go Opacic to Burns
2. Downgrade Tatola and go Opacic to Burns
3. Capewell to Burns

Since I'm not seeing any great front row downgrade options, I'm thinking I'll go with 3 because Capewell isn't scoring that well but he is in my CTW so he's doing alright for his position. Also banks me 54k and saves having to trade a cash cow early. Only downside is seeing Opacic, a 245k CTW, sitting in my NPR, but I guess he can just be downgraded later.

Up to 22,088 after a shocking round 1. Going with the rest of the pack this week and doing LoLo to SBurgess and Momorovski to Burns.

Leaves my team as:
Cook (B Brailey)
Fifita, Taupau (Hetherington, Mikaele)
JTrbojevic, Arrow, Surgess (Murray*, Garner*, Nikora*)
Cleary (Keighran)
Morgan (Brown)
Bateman, Burns, CNK, Sivo (Rava, Garrick)
Tedesco (Ponga*)
Quite happy with it, just need the injuries to hold off for a while

Wow ... 1075 last night has turned into 1161. Fifita was my captain, but surely there were some other adjustments too? I have jumped over 52,000 places to now be in the top 27k! I feel better about my middle of the road AFL start now.

Welcome to our live coverage of the Round 3 NRL teams.
Teams drop at 4pm. Until then, scroll down to join our live blog with Tom Sangster.

Here’s how we see teams day unfolding.

WINNERS

• Bronson Xerri - The popular cheapie trained at left centre on Tuesday and is in the running for an NRL debut due to a backline injury crisis at the Sharks.

• Tom Trbojevic - The SuperCoach superstar is expected to return from a hamstring injury.

• Rhyse Martin - The fantasy favourite will be recalled for the struggling Bulldogs after scoring two tries in reserve grade on the weekend.

• Braidon Burns - Buy of the week following a stunning start to the season at left centre for the Rabbitohs.

• Luke Garner - Another value buy. Garner will retain his left edge back row spot at the Tigers where he has averaged 65 over the first two rounds.

LOSERS

• Jason Taumalolo - Almost half of all SuperCoaches are the hunt for a replacement after Taumalolo was ruled out for 6-10 weeks with a knee injury.

• Reuben Garrick - The return of Trbojevic could push Brendan Elliot to the wing and SuperCoach cheapie Garrick out of the side.

• Mikaele Ravalawa - The Fijian winger’s spot will come under scrutiny following a poor performance, with Zac Lomax lurking.

• Maika Sivo - The return of George Jennings (knee) could spell the end of Sivo’s stint in first grade.

• Brett Morris - 13 per cent of SuperCoaches are on the lookout for a new winger with Morris to miss a fortnight due to a knee injury.

• Connor Watson - In doubt with the knee injury. However, SuperCoaches won’t get their wish of Kalyn Ponga switching to fullback — he will stay at five-eighth with Kurt Mann to wear the No. 1.

When I saw the winners/losers players I was worried that all my ctw cheapies were going to be missing out on price rises. Now however, you have to wonder how much stock you put into what their ‘predictions’ are because they are pretty bad at them!

I know that most of you have the majority of the cheapies at the moment so I'll make a post about some of the mid range-keepers who are looking like grabbing the most cash/most value before the price changes.

Hookers
Robbie Farah: Now this was someone I was keen on as he's been a supercoach freak in the past, but I was worried about other hookers at the club stealing his minutes. Whilst this is still a worry in the future, at the moment he is killing it in attack. He's got 2 more 'weaker' teams to play the next two weeks, so there's every chance he could go large and gain potentially 100K+ in 2 weeks time. If you're looking for a cash grab (for either Smith or Hodgson who will leak cash unless they ton up this week) to try and get Cook later on, this is your man.

Front Row
James Tamou: A lot of ifs and buts with Tamou, but the stats he's put up in base the last two matches have been quite amazing considering his past history. This could however be inflated by the fact Kikau hasn't been playing and thus minutes have shuffled around the backrowers rather than front rowers having shorter stints. That said, he'll make a fair bit of cash and at under 450K, is worth considering as a downgrade option if you want to trade Taumalolo and upgrade a cheapie CTW to Burns.

Dylan Napa: Big Papi had quite a good week this round and played over 50 minutes for 52 in base stats (before errors) which is very very good for his price. The try and linebreak was a nice bonus but won't be a feature unless the Bulldogs get their proverbial together. If you haven't got a decent cheapie in the FRF you should consider as his minutes should be consistently over 50 now.

Sam Burgess: Pretty obvious one for those that have been following scores, as he will go up between 50-80K depending on how well he goes this week. The only issue with Burgess is that he will have the odd week where he gives away plenty of penalties or make errors, so just ride the good with the bad and hope the Rabbitohs keep putting lots of points on the board.

2nd Rowers

There's not a lot of 2nd rowers that are making truckloads of cash in the mid-range to keeper range apart from Murray, Lane and Burgess. Niukore is an option if you can't afford any of the former players. The cheapies are the go in this category apart from the premium 2RF.

Halfbacks

John Asiata: Probably the least talked about player in Supercoach, but at the top of the halfback rankings after two rounds. Played 40 minutes in the pack for the Cowboys and without Taumalolo there he might pinch a handful more potentially. Worth a shout if your halfback is leaking cash, but not a long term option past probably round 8-9. There are also other positions I would be targeting before halfback, especially with Keighran and Brown being available at HB to score for you.

5/8

Luke Keary: Looked unbelievable last weekend in attack. Possibly won't have as big an effect with Cronk and Friend back, but when he's on he can score up there with the best of them. Expect another reasonable score this week to get a solid price rise.

Cameron Munster: Also one player who can have monster matches, as was shown in round 1. Won't make quite as much cash as Keary but should have a solid rise after this weekend.

Matt Moylan: Been solid both weeks and hopefully is one of the more consistent 5/8 options. Should make a decent amount of cash with a negative breakeven this week.

CTW

Too many to give reasoning to, but Oates is the one who will make the most this week given his crazy start to the season. Ken Maumalo, Clint Gutherson and Vunivalu are going to make a solid amount of cash. I'd be looking at getting those players in that order as Maumalo had a massive game despite being in a loss. Gutherson should be the more consistent out of the three given he plays at fullback and has a high involvement in Parramatta's attack.

FB

RTS, Munster, Moylan and Gutherson the ones to look at seriously in this position if you haven't spent big on Tedesco already.

I can do a cheapie one tomorrow if people want, but I thought I'd help people out with their potential buys if they were indecisive about certain positions.
