What's everyone planning to do with Bateman.
Hold
or
Trade to Ferguson and pocket 100,000/ Trade to Taumalolo
I was just thinking about this and I might trade him.

I have 28 trades left, so I don’t feel I need to be conservative yet. 17 rounds left, and in one of them we get 5 trades - so 28 of a possible 37 is a much better position than my AFL team!!

25 left and initially was planning one of Okunbor/Xerri to Fergo but now could potentially trade Bateman to Fergo increasing my remaining salary to approximately 350,000 which could be used to trade Xerri to S Burgess/R Martin.

1159 in the end. But disappointing given the bumper start to the round, but there’s been a few injuries in this round that will have caused a lot of teams some problems.

Been one of those years where I’ve let go of players slightly too early. First it was capewell before he had his bumper run, then sivo and now Garrick. Feel like I’m cursed.

1010/ Bateman

Just managed to scrape past 1000 which I'm quite happy with considering 5/17 below 50 (S Lane, J Bateman (C), E Marsters, A Fifita, M Morgan), low score from C Smith on debut and only 5 above 65 (J Tedesco, K Ponga, C Gutherson, J Arrow and N Cleary).

Score: 1006
Rd Rank: 79,684
Overall Rank: 11,338 (from 5247)
Trades made: Out: J Friend, B Smith, In: C Smith, W Egan
Trades planned: Out: J Bateman, B Xerri, In: B Ferguson, R Martin
0-49: J Bateman (C), M Morgan, A Fifita, S Lane, E Marsters
50-74: C Smith, A Tolman, M Taupau, C Murray, J Trbojevic, B Nikora, J Tedesco, CNK
75+: K Ponga, C Gutherson, N Cleary, J Arrow
Comments:
Disappointed with another poor captaincy score as it's been the norm this year and the difference between my current ranking and being ranked in the top 1000 instead which has been largely due to this in conjunction with holding Friend but still content that I somehow managed to score over 1000. Will be farewelling Bateman this week and welcoming Fergo and can't wait for next week to bring in Taumalolo.

Current RD9 trades:
Out: B Xerri, J Bateman
In: B Ferguson, R Martin

Current RD9 team:

Think I'm set on the above trades but would greatly appreciate thoughts on the preferred 2RF to select between R Martin and S Burgess. If I don't select Burgess this week then he potentially could come in for P Haas in the next 2-3 weeks.

Likely to continue the trend of selecting a different captain for the 9th round in a row so a word of warning that one of J Tedesco , N Cleary or C Smith will likely don the captaincy status.

A word of warning that I see that you don't own Garrick. Xerri plays the Titans this week and should beat his BE then when Moylan and SJ come back which will make the Sharks even better for round 16. Haas is a season long keeper as 18th man and Gillett playing origin should help his minutes. Your backup halves Bateman and Allan if Roberts comes to Souths look like your only trades in the next couple weeks. Choose your trade ins wisely.

Would you trade C Allan over B Xerri then?

If Roberts comes across to Souths before round 12 then you probably will need to offload Allan. Otherwise keep the status quo until a better cheapie comes along.
Thanks. Will trade Allan and keep Xerri to get S Burgess/R Martin and will still allow me to go Waddell to Taumalolo next week.

Trades planned: Maybe Bateman to Herbert for a cash grab and someone to beef up my 5/8s as Morgan not really cutting it and Keighran not playing?
Comments: Happy with how I’m tracking since ranking 79k in round 1. Improvement based solely on looking at SC Gold activity and comments and advice on here. Team below if anyone thinks I’m walking up the wrong path with my trade plans.

If you want to keep M Morgan an option could be Out: J Bateman, A Keighran, In: P Herbert, K Ponga.
or Out: M Aubusson, L Burr, In: P Herbert, J Taumalolo

Trade Morgan could be
Out: M Morgan, L Garner (via M Aubusson), In: K Ponga, P Herbert
