Leaning toward Tippett but have last years Lycett/Bellchambers trap in the back of my mind.
From experience, Hale wasn't much better the year before and because of this I'm really wary about putting a sub-premium R/F in my forward line.

I rmb having Hale in 2014... worst decision of my life, but it was beacuse of this very reason i didnt fall into the bellchambers trap last year.

Yep. Exactly the same with me. It's great to be able to learn from those bad experiences.

Sloane with a tough draw to start the season and how will NO Dangerfield impact his scores?

versus

Selwood with murmur of a niggling injury and how will Dangerfield impact his output?

I suggests wait until after the NAB to decide if you're set on going with one or the other.

Simpson + Barlow vs. McVeigh + Merrett ?????
That's an easy one...Simpson + Barlow all the way to the bank...get some sleep and come back tomorrow with something more sensible!:p

Good, coz that's one of the moves that I came up with completely in my head and without being able to actually check that I'd be able to facilitate it on SC coz I slept in past the closing of the SC Gold Team Picker lol

Buddy vs. Greene (vs. Merrett) ????

Zorko vs. Dahlhaus vs. Bennell ????

Just interested in some of these X vs. Y's (vs. Z's), all depends on structure these ones so keen to see what SCS members reckon :)

Birchall's averages are slowly on the decline:
2012 94.6
2013 91.9
2014 88.9
2015 86.1

KK is young and entering his 3rd year hasn't got much competition in the GC side I don't think.

Conclusion: KK for me.

Buddy hasn't played 22 games since 2008 and will get rested quite a bit if he is to last at the club til he's 35. Watched Greene play a few games last year, he seems to get plenty of the ball but seems to be butchering it a lot. To me he's more of an AFL Fantasy player rather than an SC player. With Trealoar gone it could mean he gets more midfield time instead of being parked in the fwd pocket like he was last year, but we'll have to wait and see in NAB matches. Merrett is a bit similar with KK when u look at their averages and is also entering his 3rd year and also hasn't got too much competition in the midfield with the whole Essendon saga.

Conclusion: Merrett for me.

I've read that Zorko only does well if one of beams/rocky is out of the team... so assuming beams/rocky both play, I would stay away from Zorko. I think Dahlhaus is very consistent and I don't think Libba coming back from injury should effect him too much, watching other opponents having Dahl against me last year was very painful. Bennell definitely has huge scoring potential but just can't quite stay on the park... he's wayyy too injury prone and hasn't played a full season since 2012.

Conclusion: Dalhhaus for me.

By far the toughest spots of my team to pick. I've been changing my mind between the first two options for awhile now.

D4+F4+F5

OPTION 1: Simpson + Greene + Fwd Rookie
VS
OPTION 2: Smith + Gunston + Fwd Rookie
VS
OPTION 3: Simpson +Leuey + Simpkin

(or any other options anyone can think of which culd sway me)

Originally I was sold on option 1
With Simpson I've picked him for the last 2 years and he's been ok, but not great that he is a must have. For me Greene has the biggest ??? for me. I'm aware his Fantasy to SC numbers are not the right ratio... but with Treloar gone does this allow him to get more mid time rather than getting parked in the fwd pocket?

Switched to option 2
Decided to play around and pick a POD in Gunston who's numbers I've liked but means I had less money to spend on my D4 with Smith, he seems to be a popular choice but im iffy about him and he burnt me last year. Also I have to admit, having a hawk in my team could be a fun thing.

Option 3 for ruck-cover
I still get nightmares over having Hale back in 2014 for ruck-cover.
Avoided the Bellchambers trap last year.
Could this year be the year when the SC God's allow us to have a cheap R/F early in the year?

Any comments would be much appreciated.

Birchall for me! Interrupted preseason affected him last year. Very consistent averages of 89-95 from 2011-2014. At this stage I'm backing him myself to go 90+.

Merrett should take it to the next level. More TOG and mid time for Merrett should definitely see him improving. My only concern is if he peaks at a 95 average due to playing in too many losses. Bit of a DT pick. Greene is a trap I feel. "list clogger" material haha

Bennell for me. Just so much potential to go 105-110 average in the dockers midfield. Dahlhaus at his peak I think. Lots of competition for points at the doggies and he would be require to play more forward for the team.

With my current side/structure I can afford to select the highest priced player from one line. Who would you choose?
