Went with Atkins over Butters and Drew over Parker (coming off an ankle injury which limited him last week).

Can't make myself play three Port rookies against the Eagles and Butters playing mostly at half forward didn't seem like a strong option.

Putting the E on Scott didn't work out so who should i put on the ground out of Atkins and Stack?

Scott no good with E, Drew very good with E and Duursma E not fussed if take or leave.

Duursma will have to simply be a normal emergency just in case a Jordan Clark or Scrimshaw not play on Easter Monday. But do not need to claim his score. VC on Cripps and for now loophole agent Matthew Walker up forward can be on field and allow me to take Drew ton emergency score and also be used for the captain loophole. Do not need to do the O'Brien trade until Sunday when Crows and Gold Coast play. With Constable almost certainly not playing I have benched him for now next to Tobe Watson and Scott and will likely role the dice on Gibbons to finally get a decent score but I can still trade Tobe Watson to Stack but at this stage due to so many games still in round and late out possibilities I think I just hold off on that trade and let Stack go. No guarantee Stack will score any better for me than Gibbons this round and with Richmond playing Wednesday too, half a chance a Tiger rookie rested next round.

If Heeney was a late out I would need to be able to trade Setterfield to allow someone to play on field up forward. In theory I could trade Setterfield, switch Burgess forward, switch DEF/RUC Gold Coast loophole agent Caleb Graham to backline and still get O'Brien into R3 spot with one trade. But plan A is simply trade Burgess himself to O'Brien by switching Graham to backline bench from ruck bench. So glad I did not follow the crowd picking Bines as their R3 loop guy, DEF/RUC just seemed a better fit for me and a POD I liked. This round is complicated enough without dealing with that restriction on timing too.

Atkins is only averaging 53, so if you traded in Stack this round presumably you’re expecting more than that on average from him. Unless you think there’s a reason to think Atkins outperforms/Stack underperforms this week in particular, I’d go Stack.

Worth flagging some discussion that Stack could be sore this week.

Yeah good point but Atkins seems to be that type who can kick a bag out of nowhere (Ronke/Petrucelle) which would stink if you had him on the bench

Wilkie vs Clark for D6? Wilkie obviously seems to have a ceiling Clark doesn't after last weeks turnout, but that was aided by injuries to other players giving him an incredible 98% TOG...

Apart from Marshall's busted nose that he went off to get treatment on, did the Saints have any other injuries? Geary out pre-game obviously, but he was replaced by Ben Patton who floated through the half backline as it was in a similar vein to Geary.

I think Mckenzie and Parker.

But who knows, I just assumed as in the previous games he had been in the 70% TOG range, and in pre-season he had notoriously low TOG. Perhaps they were building him up or something.

Ahhh true, I did forget about Mckenzie getting injured. His preseason TOG was very low because Roberton was in the side, Wilkie would come on very late in the game. His opportunity to break into the round 1 side was off the back of Roberton being ruled out for the season.
