With that deep midfield you don't really need to have a MID eligible FD in there I reckon.

Crouch is an on field lock and Mills is probably the safest bet out of all the rookies.

If I was batting as deep as you in the midfield then I wouldn't have picked Petracca.

For me it's B Crouch at M6, Mills at M7 and then Menadue, Gresham, Davis and Petracca rounding out my mids.

Your comments about the Sydney players sound about right but who really knows what the coaching staff are thinking. Most of us thought Hartley and Grimley were certain starters and look what happened there!
My M6-M11 are same as yours.
Menadue with E, Petracca on field.
Should we be looking at one of Dunkley or Hewett and ditching Petracca and forfiet Menadues score?
I like Petracca as loop for a while though.

Like many others, I saw that Hartley wasn't playing and went "oh ****" and traded in Weithering. I do have Ruggles though (and am keeping him I think), so threw Weithering on the bench with the E - was looking like a top move there for a while...

Menadue on the mid bench with the E, so Balic could have a look at his score and allow VC Ablett to be awesome if required.

Kerridge on the field in the forwards - he has to play on the field imo.

So, all in all a reasonable start (like most others).

Had Gibbs all pre-season, although I wanted him at M7. When I couldn't get that (even after I moved Shaw on for Bartel to allow for more expensive rookies like Weithering  ), out he went. Shame after his score last night, but the logic and the reasons stay the same for me - expected him to score around the 100-105 mark and give me a step if I needed one, but would be the first out if I needed cash (I don't have Libba).

Had Dusty once upon a time, but never really considered him a must have. Didn't look at any other players out of last night's game so can't complain that I 'didn't get their scores, oh the sliding door closed in my face, damn what a stupid decision etc' ;)

I believe it should be today, regardless of the public holiday. But don't quote me on it.

Final 22 for Sunday will be released later today, around 5pm eastern I think? Maybe slightly earlier?

Final 22 for Monday's game will be released Saturday (I think)

Final 22s for Saturdays game have been confirmed, but obviously these can be changed up to 90mins before bounce down

Not sure i'd change my whole team structure just to get an 80.
Especially this year when cash generation will be so tough.
Yeah that's my thoughts as well, I just have to decide who to play out of Gresham/Hewett/Davis at M8 now
This is where my head is at. The temptation is certainly there to lock in Menadue's 80 but I don't have a FD friendly midfield structure so will just have to back Mills in to score more..or not lose too many points.

I'd also like to remind people - as I polish off my bottle on a school night - that last year, not many of us scored over 2000 round 1. In fact, there's a recently promoted moderator that may have experienced a sub 1700 score... :-o

So Let's hope SuperCoachScores peeps get off to a better and more substantially promising start than the year before.

Cheers!

I'm so scarred by the experience I'm getting on a plane right now to the other side of the planet, so I don't have to witness another train wreck! hahaha At least I can't fiddle anymore. Selwood out to a rookie shuffle and $172K bank for corrections.

For the first time in a long time, no last minute tinkering with my team prior to the first game of the season, more circumstantial rather than by design. However, all that is about to change...hopefully for the better.:p

Patrick Cripps is going to explode...
thought he was scored a bit unfairly last night hopefully will be scored a bit better from now on
As Rowsus has pointed out a few times, it's the handball to kick ratio that gets him. Last night's a great example of why the odds are stacked against him being a good pick. He played phenomenally, and had a big impact on the game, and had 27 possessions (17 contested), and 10 clearances, and he kicked a goal! Still only scored 106. 19 handballs is why.
