I did it, normally try to go with rookies that are playing - unless the other player is some exceptional talent.
Must admit I was 50/50 too.
Price rises start from Rnd2 onwards so hopefully Roberton wont get a game for a while and you can use him as a trade to milk an early cash cow.
McInerney - Averaged 41.5 from 47% game time so not the worst - probably not much TOG though.
I think Roberton is a better player but hopefully he will have to sit out a few games so you can trade him in later.

Nearly went with Dawson as a cheaper alternative.
Ended up a choice out of Dawson, Howe (ouch
) and D.Houston.(Would have gone with Laird but needed the extra 40k for a high price rookie)
Went with Houston in the end because of his midfield role.
Hopefully this score for Dawson (so far) is just an aberration - then again it would be nice if his price drops and I might consider picking him again at a cheaper price
