Yeo offers so many more characteristics that that our other mids don't... that he has to be played there, In fact he is second at the club for center stoppage attendances behind only Priddis this year.

Add to that the fact Simpson has publicly declared that he wants Yeo in the middle and that he also wants to give more opportunities to the younger mids rather than relying on the older mids. This will see the older mids in Priddis, Selwood, Rosa all drift back or fwd at times with the younger mids like Yeo, Sheed and Duggan all playing mainly through the middle.

Simpson's aim is to get these young mids up to speed in the middle so we then have a very large number of players able to run through the middle each week. It's why your seeing guys like LeCras spend more time in the guts each week.

Interesting that Dandenong players are in the Country team to even up the clubs in each side. Looks like they should swap back to Metro.

It's been like that for a few years. I teach at Parkdale SC and we have students split across Sandringham and Dandenong depending on where they live. eg. Chelsea (Dandy/Country) Parkdale (Sandy/Metro)

As background, there are 6 listed players in today's NEAFL team, 3 of those rookies. The other 16 players are top-ups from U/18s & QAFL

Watched the end of the second quarter, and as the players were walking off I spotted a mate from uni who was playing. Not getting much study in ahead of our exam tomorrow and Tuesday lol :D

Kieran Collins, a key defender from Dandenong is bog for mine. Ainsworth classy around goals and O'Kearney a decent mid.

Most of the players look like 2yo racehorses.
