I’m thinking of doing Mummy to R Gray via DPP. I think that’s a good trade, but just wanted to check:

- Does anyone know why Gray scored poorly in rounds 4-6? I see Wines played all three games.

- Is there a reason why his TOG is so low? 90 and 94% in the first two games, but has played 74-81% since round 4.
R Gray:
Rds 1,2,3,10,11:
SC Avg: 99.8 from 5 (low of 89 and a high of 122, 3/5 below 100)
Disposals Avg: 25.2 (23,27,21,27,28)
Tackles Avg: 3 (2,5,1,2,5)
Goals Avg: 1.6 (1,1,2,1,3)
Contested possessions avg: 13.8 (10,15,13,12,19)
CPR%: 53.91%
Disposal Efficiency: 61.11%

Rds 4,5,6:
SC Avg: 57 from 3 (low of 45 and a high of 72)
Disposals Avg: 16 (16,14,18)
Tackles Avg: 1 (1,2,0)
Goals Avg: 0.67 (2,0,0)
Contested possessions avg: 6.67 (8,5,7)
CPR%: 39.22%
Disposal Efficiency: 56.25%

Rds 1,2,3,10,11 Gray has recorded 20+ disposals and 10+ contested possessions in comparison to less than 20 disposals and less than 10 contested possessions in Rds 4,5,6.

Awesome, thanks very much!

It looks like he played dramatically better outside of those three games. Interesting that his DE was down a bit despite his CP rate also being well down (often they move inversely) - that looks consistent with @Bomber18’s observation that he was quite fumbly through that period.

For those who still have undecided trades for this Round.
Western Bulldogs play 7 of their next 9 games at Marvel:
Carl, Coll, (Port @ Ade Oval), Geel, Melb, StK, Fre, (Lions @ Gabba), Ess, (GWS @ Show), (Ade @ Mars)

Bontempelli - $543,000 - Priced at 106.5 - B/E 133

Some might be put off by his B/E. Bonts most recent scores v Carl: 104, 124, 145, 120 - ave 2017 to today 123.3

Here is the Bonts record at Marvel from 2017 to today:

Nice post Rowsus ?

But now youve got me second guessing my self, lol. Was planning on Macrae, but might go Bont instead. I'm a far way off the pace so going popular options is probably not going to get me too far, the 40k, probably won't make much difference in the end, but might make the difference between getting Lloyd 8n coming weeks a bit easier.

To clarify, I also meant that he was fumbly during R1-3 as well. He had an easy run but didn’t capitalize like he might’ve in the past. Although my expectation at that point was a season long 100 avg. At 400k, a 90-95 avg is acceptable

Answerth/J.Clark/L.Baker to Bewley/Ryan/Gray

Willing to take the punt on Gray at his price. Even if neither really pull their finger out he and Heeney should end up F6/F7 and/or cover in the mids. Of course whether my team gets to the stage of that F6/F7 combo is another matter all together.

Bewley's JS sounds risky but grabbed Gardner last week and will probably go for Clarke next week.

For those who are thinking of bringing in Gray this week, he has scored 100+ 8 of his last 10 against Freo and 1 of the 2 under was an injury effected game where he went off in the 2nd quarter.
R Gray against Freo since 2011 excluding last year's injury affected game: 120.38 from 8

Should I be worried that the player I’ve traded in has not been mentioned once on the forum since the preseason

Shirley you can't be serious? Gutsiest move I ever saw Mav!
Haha yeah. Gray or even Hoff were probably the text book plays but thought I’d throw a Hail Mary and see if my prayers could be answered.

Hoping he spends more time on the ball with Steele gone and Steven still a month away.

Get rid of Scott or Answerth this week?
Personally I gave Answerth the flick - his game last week was poor in a bad loss to an inferior opponent and I figured Naish would be a better mooing option going forward (which looks like it will hopefully be an accurate assessment as he is finding plenty of the ball and using it well at AFL level).

Going to pull the trigger after a response.

Have been looking at using one of Hore or Rockliff and Answerth to get Fyfe and Boak.

Now ive seen I can trade stocker and answerth for bont and gray. Then use balta and duursma to get fyfe next week. My head says go with option 2. It means i would have to wait quite a few weeks to get boak in to use the hoff as a f7

Yep. It was him or the Hoff for me this week but decided I prefer to wait and see if/when the Hoff returns to that roaming role before jumping on.
Think Gresh is a decent option.

Was him,Gray or J.Martin for my F6 until ROB’s 182, now giving me an extra 100k or so for my last forward.
