From article on Melbourne FC site mentioned above- "Jackson, the third overall selection in the draft, stands at 198cm and looks to be the ultimate utility. He will provide a target inside 50 alongside Tom McDonald, and at just 18 years of age, will be an exciting long-term prospect for the club. "
Still may rob Gawn of 20 points.

Would not worry about Jackson 'stealing' points from Gawn. Remember these conversations last pre-season re: Pruess and Gawn. Look how that turned out.

Jackson will play predominantly forward and chop out in the ruck while Gawn is either on the bench or floating forward once or twice for some bonus points.

If there is time that is. Hope he pulls out 122 and 121 in next 2 games to drop 44k for easier grab.

Will be some interesting decisions on which rookies to go this round 3,101 started with Bennell could be the lucky ones. Surprisingly 22,388 had Rivers. I really need Georgiades and Sturt to come in this round if not wait atleast 2-3 weeks.

Based on the reports so far, I wouldn't be surprised if both forwards miss (Georgiades on modified training, Sturt needing to get through training to be considered). Hoping at least one of them gets up too. I got burnt a couple of times with rookies last year, picking them on debut, so I'm wary of picking Rivers. I know Bennell is not a rookie, but with such a long injury break, he is equally risky.

Why can't this be easier?

Yeh I'm more hesitant on Bennell than anyone with his injury past over going early on 1st game rookie. But I think that is because he is Dpp and Defender rookie! (A basement price one at that.)

Rivers may only be cover for Lever for a game.

Lever hasn't been confirmed out and Rivers is a running half-back as opposed to an intercepting key defender so no comparison there.

Just meant from the round 1 teams as Carlton aren't that tall fwd with their injuries. Although he is 188cm vs 194cm Lever after just going over his profile. Lever was being managed so I assume he would be the out.
