Boy it is raining rookies.... i may need to revisit my plans.

Sounds like Starcevich, Green, Cavarra, BZT, McAsey will all miss.

Bennell, Rivers, Berry, DCameron, McHenry all on the bubble next week.
Agreed, on pure numbers expected in and out of that Brisbane side (assume Birchall will come in, and maybe Ah Chee) you'd have to conclude that Starcevich is unlikely to hold his spot.

Throw Sturt and Georgiades in as possibles haha. North may even blood Hosie/Xerri as Larkey's replacement if they don't pick Wood.

I have Roberton, BZT, Starcevich. Was hoping for Hill but might have to keep Roberton and bring in Noble and Doedee. Rivers deosn't seem like a solid pick.

250th game tomorrow night for Dangermouse gone pretty well in noticed here.

Surprises me that he is in his 13th season.
Good on him, although I still hope he loses obviously. I would have thought he was only at around 10-11 seasons as well.

Another milestone tomorrow is that it is Hawthorn's 2000th game. Hopefully it is a repeat of their 1000th game, where they beat the Cats by 107 pts back in 1977.

I don't know why but had him as a 8/9 season player at the moment.

Well done to the Hawks , my grand dad was a Hawks supporter so have a soft spot for them.

I was thinking about Danger as a footballer the other day and where I would place him in history. I think he is a bit over rated. Before I get bashed I still think he is a very good footballer but I would rate Simon Black, Sam Mitchell, Dusty, Pendles and maybe even JPK as better footballers just off the top of my head.
He is an athletic beast and a bull in the traffic, but I don't think he is as team minded as others and his decision making and delivery is not elite. He often explodes out of a pack and bombs the ball forward which is spectacular to watch but also easy for the opposition defenders to pick off.
He's still got time to prove me wrong though.

Interesting observation.

I have always doubted his kicking efficiency , sometimes I think he bursts out too quickly to steady himself.

I think the biggest difference he has over those you mentioned (apart from Dusty) is he can actually go forward and kick multiple goals (often) as a key forward.

I think his on field dramas and theatrics well always count against him as well.

Hard to go past Pendles (obviously) , but geez Black was incredible.

Can't say I have seen anyone with better hands than Mitchell (maybe Diesel) nor the ability just to control the game between the arcs.

EDIT

This might surprise some as well , but I also think Buckley's kicking was over rated as well by the commentators and how good they thought he kicked , I always thought he over kicked by 2-5 metres a lot ?

Didn't surprise me as he had the #32 Guernsey handed straight to him the year Ricciuto retired.
Missed 6 games in 9 years but I can't remember if they were all injury related.I Think his suspension might have been last round of H&A.
