Season Rank : 4,277 (from 4,592)

Trades Made :
Banfield to Yeo
Garlett to Guelfi

Trades Planned :
Fauxgarty to Zmerrett
Murray to Spargo

Comments :
Not bad with Buddy and Petracca out. Was upset I didn't vice Cripps, but Gawn made me forget about that. After two weeks of getting burnt by my blind faith in Tmitch, it was nice to make the right choice for once. Shoulda traded out Holman instead of Banfield, but it hasn't hurt me too much yet.

So after I do my trades this round I'll have 23 trades left, everyone on field averaging over 80 and only 5 on field rookies. My ranking obviously isn't as impressive as a lot of people on here, but i feel like it's a solid base. It just hasn't been good enough where I don't keep looking back at my starting choices wondering what could have been if I had've started with Dusty, Cogs, Grundy, Gray instead of Danger, Parker, Nic Nat, Dahlhaus. I'm still hopeful it's a bit of a "This too shall pass" situation with all of them.

Trades Planned: May not trade, but if I do it will be Billings out!
Comments: Shocking week this week after a great one last week. Nothing quite worked, and a late change of captain from Gawn to Fyfe really was the final nail in the coffin! I have 24 trades left so hoping not to have to trade, but very tempting to move Billings on.

too many "good luck stories" being posted here............................congratulations everyone on your starts and hope it continues

Score: 2,071
Overall: 13,096 (leader 14,026)

Weekly Rank: 46,323
Overall Rank: 16,927 (from 14,499)

Heroes: Gawn, Cripps, Mitchell, Selwood (VC) , Fyfe, McLean , Smith, Lycett, Kelly, Shaw, Dixon, Coniglio, Fritsch and captain Sicily
Villians: Sicily , Gunston, Dusty, Nic Nat

Trades Done: Papley to Gunston (+4)
Trades Planned; need to rid my bench of non-playing/slow cash generating players the next 2 rounds so look out Coffield, Murphy, Garlett, Barry & OConnor

Comments: next 2 weeks to get it right, then I will be coming home like a steam train.

One lesson I have learnt is you can have all the best starting premiums from the start, but if your rookies and bench are not generating $$$ you will struggle to upgrade. The key in the first 6 weeks is rookie $$$ , as Rowsus always says C & VC, sort the rucks, then select the rookies and premiums around that.

I know hindsight is a wonderful thing (especially in this game) BUT, IF I started Laird, T Kelly, Heeney & Gray from the start instead of CEllis, Sloane, Lambert & Papley I would be 600-700 points better off and sitting inside the Top 100..................................if only............................perhaps one year I will learn how to play this game properly and nail it.

good luck everyone for the rest of the season.

Comments: Horrible week. Infact Horrific week. Completely undid all of last weeks good work and gains. Really depressing stuff.

Had Gawn Captain all week, then on Sunday fearing even more carnage I switched to take Mitchell's 126... Lost a ton of points. Held Petracca and that muppet Sicily, so lost points because of them. What the hell was that Hogan? Terrible effort and shocking Body Language to go with it. And Jack Billings... Would struggle to get a kick in an under 10's Girls Aus Kick comp... What a spud!!

It's weeks like last week that really make reconsider playing SC and the time I put into it.

Well done to all those that are Flyin' at the moment

Comments:

DEF: 5/10
Not one tonne in this line with Laird losing 1 point due to scaling. Hibberd hurrah, finally a decent score and hoping that it's a step in the right direction. Doedee did good. Finlayson & Murray quite disappointing. Had to field Mirra due to his teammate suspending himself and ended up on a decent score. Really hope Murphy comes back in soon to make some $$$.

MID: 6/10
Really should have kept the VC on Cripps but Trac being out gave lots of late options. Who knew that playing it safe would Tom Mitchell would cost a lot more points than I thought. Fyfe solid. Tim Kelly still the best rookie going around. Dusty 2nd underpar score. Cogs first time failing to get the tonne. Banfield the best out of a lot of very poor scores. Holman useless that game. Bench options in Coff/Crowden/Barry all under 50 too.

RUC: 8/10
FEAR THE BEARD!!! Was my captain but played it safe with Mitchell. Goldy horrible 1st half but bounced back in the 2nd but was against a part-timer in the ruck, so really should have annihilated his opponent. Can't wait to trade him to Ryder during the byes. English poor score but still mooing along nicely.

FWD: 7/10
This was probably my best scoring line up until the last game of the round. Walters injury hurt so much. McLean bounced back with his 3rd 110+ out of 4 in my side. Heeney first time dropping below the tonne. Gray tagged but ended up on an ok score. Smith finally with his 2nd tonne! Choosing Guelfi over Higgins kinda sucking right now.

Overall Comments:
Gee have a look at that weekly rank, the devil's number in there. My luck had to run out eventually with my first rankings drop of the year to outside the top 100. Walters my most POD player getting injured definitely hurts the most and also lost $52k in value so trading him out to another premo will eat away at my cash reserves. Tamuhawk's League took a massive hit overall, my friend who left Nank on the bench definitely did not help our rank. Proud to be part of SCS Div2 who are currently ranked 2nd & SCS$50 who are currently ranked 10th overall. Have doubts that Petracca will come back but Sicily is a welcome inclusion plus my Walters replacement. Just glad we have longer this week to plan our trades unlike last week. Hope to bounce back inside the top 100 next round.

Villains: Billings, Holman, Dusty.
Trades Made Round 5: Brayshaw > Coffield
Trades Made Round 6: Petracca and Banfield > Mirra and Higgins.
Trades Planned: Sitting on 786k in the bank so i think it's highly likely 2 premiums will come in this week for Holman and Garlett. Sicily vs Westhoff vs Gray. Macrae vs Treloar vs Selwood. Really tough decisions to make. Following that, I think i'll be looking to go Finlayson/Murray to Dangerfield next week, as i think his price will have bottomed out.
Comments: I've been away the last 2 weeks as i was moving house and had no internet or tv reception  I did well enough the past two weeks to not lose any positions overall and in fact moved forward 129 spots while only trading in rookies.

Comments: Like most, it was always going to be tough with Sicily and Petracca on the bench. Expected so much more from Billings and Hogan although the latter was playing injured. Still, moved up the rankings slightly so I'll take that. Hopefully will be able to field all my keepers this round coming.

Trades made: Greene to Mirra, Fritsch to Guelfi
Heroes: Titch VC, #FearTheBeard, McLean, Smith, TKelly
Villains: Dusty, Billings, Parker, Holman
Trades planned: Holman/Banfield to Danger, Murray to Howe?

Comments:
Disappointing week. On the back foot with Greene out with a mystery foot injury and Sicily's suspension. Aside from TKelly and Doedee, the rookies also didn't score as well as they have so far. Was expecting to fall further down the overall rank but the damage wasn't too bad in the end. Chickened out Gawn C, was put off by his short turn around. Forgot that Essendon are actually woeful in the ruck.

Decided to trade out Greene as GWS seem unsure when he will return, words like "could be 2 weeks, could be 10 weeks" didn't fill me with confidence. Also needed to trade Fritsch out to cover Sicily's donut in the backline (by moving him forward). Was comfortable with that trade as Fritsch didn't seem seem like a long term prospect and Guelfi seems like a solid pick. Annoyed that Fritsch went on to score 80+ but that's the way the cookie crumbles.

For this week, I will use the cash from Greene to restructure. Need to get the Holman/Banfield types off field ASAP. Will get Danger this week even though he is not looking quite like himself at the moment. If I pass now, I won't be able to get him for a while yet and may be out of reach. Also looking to cull Murray for a keeper in defence. Howe the one who interests me most with the funds I have available.

Awesome to see many SCS coaches still right up there! Let's trade well, hopefully one us can take the top prize this year. Hang in there, community.
Onwards and Upwards!

Comments: Disappointed with only 7 tons and my lowest score of the year but looking forward to Round 7 as J Sicily returns replacing a fwd rookie, T McLean will be brought in for Christensen and potentially J Kelly returning from injury as well.

Bit late, but had to post :)

Score: 2,287
Weekly Rank: 1,020
Overall Rank: 200!!! (from 857)
Heroes: Savage, Fyfe, Titch, Crippa, Kelly, Gawn (C), McLean, Westhoff, Smith
Villains: Martin? Nic Nat? Bilbo
Trades Made: Out: Garlett In: Guelfi
Trades Planned: O'Meara & Billing for Treloar & Macrae atm... Yes Danger is Danger, but not really showing his worth?! Need to keep this momentum going!
Comments: MY BEST POSITION EVER!!! However, only JUST got my first SCS02 win!
Played the rooks pretty well this week, had some good PODs in Hoff and Fisher go solid and got the Captains pick right (through stuffing up my donut and not taking Titch's score)
Now just to work out what's the best play this week... Could get rid of Chriso, but feel like I'm more likely with him than Bilbo. Double down on him and probably Holman or Naughton next week to then potentially get Danger and finish the mids...
Mundy has caught my eye up forward, and need to get Heeney and Gray as well... So there's that to think about too!?!
