Pretty hard to fix a failed rookie effectively. Injury restructure one of the better ways I’ve found. You are right in this case though. Plenty of value on offer in defence the next few weeks worth holding out for.
Certainly right.

I just think when we're 6 rounds in, it's too late to sideways trade them and less of a requirement to need both bench rookies so are you best off saving some cash on moving the one that hasn't made any so you can put that cash towards your next upgrade?

I don't really focus much on my SC but it seems a real bitch to make cash in this format so I wonder whether having a stronger D8 over saving cash is the play - again, depends on who you have paired with Highmore a bit. If it Jones (inj) or someone like Kosi (set for a price rise) then I suppose it makes a bit of sense.

that’s a bugger! get back from work, look over your SC team game day and realise the last trade ideas I had been playing with are locked in!!! f*** it ****s me when life gets in the way of SC.
so Neale/H Jones > Trac/Robertson locked and loaded.
Last week got stuck with the VC on macrae so was super keen to make sure it didn’t happen again! dodged that bullet! ha!

Assistant SC player required to do the overview team selections, i’m a SC artist these trivial processes are becoming very beyond me 🤪😂😩🤪

Stepping stones and back ups are gold, so a heppel type m8 is good for that this early in the season.

I reckon it's the points on the ground that you can get each week, that are the most important.

Cash generation is another important factor. However, from my experience over the years, you can have dead rookies on the bench and survive by looking at them as zombies that will come to life again.... If you have enough decent scoring living rookies to field and cash in on, each time you are ready to trade and upgrade.

It's always worth holding the non playing bubble boy rookies that might not be getting games (possibly due to bonking the coaches wife or looking at his daughter the wrong way). 🤔

They are usually sure to eventually pop up and come again. 😆

So far done :-

Dunkley - > O'Brien

Want to do Gulden - > Brayshaw

but now thinking

O'Brien - > Grundy
Meek - > Mumford

can't keep eating 🍩 in my ruck

Hopefully can get May next round (complete my defence)

Heeney , de Goey , Brown , Rozee might have to be options up forward

Mitchell in the mids , no idea who else

Ended up going
Out: Dunkley Chapman
In: Macrae Robertson

Was originally planning to grab Sidebottom/Zorko and maybe Darling but FOMO got the better of me. Thought Macrae was going to run wild tonight but wasn’t to be. Don’t think I’ll regret grabbing him and 107 is not the end of the world.

I got cold feet and ended up trading, I have kept Dunkley until next week.

Aggressive, going Whitfield before we see role and scoring rate, plus with the reduction in magic number he probably needs to exceed last year average by 5-7% to just hold his price.

Personally think the beauty of players lot Whitfield coming back this late is we get a free look so we don't have Cripps situations.

SC - Game of opportunity and risk management - you are firmly on the left, good luck.

Make a decision son, I need to know who I am playing!

SCS Final Siren match up Herbie. You need to sort your rucks out, that is the priority, dont even look other lines.

Probably Grundy and Mumford, cannot be copping a donut in rucks and I like the hedge with holding Flynn/Mumford. Hopefully Briggs is not seen any time soon and you get to maintain slow cash build on Fynn.

With Boak and Martin on the sidelines, use weeks like this to have no pressure and reset the team for the next 2/3 of the year.

Only issue is how do you liquidate Flynn in time as Mummy not an option without him. If Thilthorpe keeps getting games and justified 200k, then I would suggest him and Marshall look ok. However, expect Thilthorpe is a 60 player at best.

ROUND 7
Josh Dunkley ---> Dayne Zorko

Now just need to fully settle on my trade out for my second trade, where I'll be bringing in Sam Walsh.

Out of these three, I need to trade one...

Sam Berry
Erroll Gulden
Braeden Campbell

Would anyone trade differently than Campbell being the one to go?

I'm so done with this season. Literally just traded Hickey out about 3 hours ago to avoid the Flynn donut and I now have Neale, Dusty and Ridley riding the bench. To top it all off Campbell getting dropped probably means I'm copping the donut that i was trying to avoid
Ridley will play.
Also wondering - can you move Hickey back in? Ie have you only done the one trade so far allowing the trade loop?

I see a lot jumping on F Macrae, are we expecting an improvement in scoring? What factors have coaches leaning towards him? Is he just the best option of the lower priced rookies?
Given the slowing nature of cash generation, expect Macrae's price allows the ability to trade up to the premium (this week or next), instead of going Atu/Ferrari or one of the other more expensive rookies.

When looking out on horizon, feels like there could be one rookie per week that is cheap and allows an upgrade.

I did Macrae last week which is allowing me to just make Gulden to Petracca. Was pretty happy he gets another game.

Bench has dropped from 6/8 playing to now be 3/8 (Chapman/Macrae/Rowe - Waterman unknown). Getting thin, although, hoping Campbell/McNeill/Flynn back soon.

Depends on your depth.
Gulden losing cash but playing - Campbell done as a cow but won’t lose anything not playing.

Campbell not being selected will not lose any value this round also depends if you need any of Berry or Gulden to play or whether you think they can make their break even?
