With Sam Taylor out do we think that Harry Himmelberg gets played back like he was last year?
could be a nice little cash cow again with that DPP?

scored 100 ( break even 72) but could score significantly well as a sneaky option?

1% of teams prior to this round as well…
It's definitely crossed my mind. He moved back during the game, but Aleer is fit and coming back through the reserves. Really will have to wait until teams to make a call.

Lucky no touk miller

Wilmot>Seamus
Cowan>Sturt
McKenna>Sicily

Not fully confident in Sicily but durable, decent ceiling and know he can run out a season no problem. Think he's going to do 97-103 range this year but will take it for 530k. On Form Day outscores him but prefer the more seasoned body.

LA LA LA, I'm putting my fingers in my ears and pretending all the players I see on my screen are just fine and will continue to trade around them as if nothing has happened.

They will all get uninjured eventually right? :rolleyes:o_O

Possibly a fourth boost used for
Out: C McKenna, D Wilmot and J Horne-Francis
In: S Mitchell (via H Sheezel), C Wagner and T Miller

Team with 20 trades left:
Def: J Dawson, N Daicos, T Stewart, J Lloyd, J Ziebell, H Sheezel (L Cowan and C Wagner)
Mid: C Oliver, M Bontempelli, T Miller, R Laird, J Kelly, A Brayshaw, J Hopper, W Ashcroft, (A Davey, M Johnson and C Constable)
Ruck: T English, R Marshall, (Madden)
Fwd: J Dunkley, K Chandler, W Phillips, M Phillipou, F Greene, S Mitchell (M Roberts and J Van Rooyen)

Will intend to swing back Ziebell and Sheezel later in the season but might need to get creative for cash generation.
Scratch that. Coniglio it is.

Day is such an interesting one. Form and role looks good, so on the one hand it's a potential D6 at $450k. But unproven in this role over a period of time and injury prone - with the number of trades invested in fixing injuries, it might not be the best move to bring in a risky player that has unproven upside. Especially when someone like Sicily is ~$80k more, and Sinclair not ~+$90k.
I think I've changed my mind and I'm leaning towards passing on him and going for either Sicily (have Sinclair already), or potentially paying up a bit more for Walsh or another prem mid.

Were his previous injuries of a contact or non contact nature, occurring to the same region/part and what is the associated recurrence rate?

Probably just a double down here, Mitchell & Wagner in for someone & someone else. If I use a boost then I can afford Jelly, it's just whether I'm willing to risk the inevitable happening, preference would be Serong but I think I'll be a tad short on funds.

Day and Green coming back in is sort of 2 upgrades, although LDU is definitely NQR, so a bit of a wait on that front.

Don't think Wagner will hold his spot over Wilson myself.

Looking at Wilmot and Jones out, for Mitchell and maybe Cincotta. Cincotta has similar JS issues to Wagner, but think he'll be ok in the short term (also $20K cheaper)

Would love to grab Tom Stewart this week too, but think I'll fall just short of it from EVR (who hasn't peaked and has North Melbourne next week too)

If loops go well (Williams Game 1) - I might pull the trigger on Hollands > Stewart, who's been solid but just can't get a spike score.

Probably still lots to play out!

I don't know the details of all the injuries but he had an ankle fracture in 2021 and pretty sure he had another ankle injury in 2022.

Looking at his game counts:

2020 - played 11 of 17 games (missed 5 in one block plus 1 other game)
2021 - played 5 out of 22 games (missed 9 games in one block and 8 game sin one block)
2022 - played 17 out of 22 games (missed 2 games, 1 game, and 2 games in 3 different blocks)

So 2021 was obviously the big year but still has missed chunks of games in the other years too.

Agree - Wagner made many errors Fri pm, I think he was found out by the pace of the game. He can certainly find the ball (even took some kicks ins Fri pm which was surprising) but in the 2 games he has played now he has had many turnovers in the back half which hurts the team in a major way.

Cincotta to me looked far better, mentioned it yesterday than he had composure/ made good decisions & executed well. Think Voss would be happy with his performance, expect him to get a decent amount of games in a row now.

Agree re: Cincotta.. tempted to carry him and Cowan on the assumption at least 1 of them should play each week..

Agreed. It was good to see them back him in for a 2nd game, but I don't think they'll continue for a 3rd. One thing in is favour is after Wilson, he's the next in the pecking order, but I wouldn't be relying on him for plans.

Cincotta was great yep, in a high paced game too. Did get caught HTB once but otherwise was one of our better defenders.

We have Saad to come back (maybe week after next) but I expect we will just shuffle Kennedy out of the backline first (Kennedy has been playing back last two weeks )

We also have Boyd who I think they will get into the team when they can (played first VFL game for the year this week) but Cincotta had been performing consitently in the VFL so they may make Boyd wait.

Then there is Doc too, who could come in for Cincotta when he is fit, but could also just replace Cowan, who has been solid but not outstanding.

There's also Chapman who's due to return from injury over the next couple of weeks.

I feel that Cincotta is not a like-for-like with Cowan, one is a rebounding defender whilst the other is a lockdown defender.
Cincotta's JS will be dependent on when Saad/Docherty returns.

Agreed with all your observations but still think his JS is not as good as could be.
