Argh... should've known!

“Stephen pulled up sore following our game against West Coast on Sunday,” general manager of football Peter Bell said.

“He demonstrated some tightness during testing at our injury clinic on Monday and he was sent for a scan, which showed a small strain in the adductor muscle.

“We have ruled Stephen out of this Monday’s game but we are hopeful of a quick recovery.”
Gotta applaud Fremantle for knowing about Hill's injury and scans on Monday... then failing to put him on the injury list on Tuesday... and continuing to sit on the information all week. Thanks Fremantle!!

I've just traded Stephen Hill in.
I apologise to other SCS members who have done the same.
I apologise to Fremantle supporters.
I apologise to the Fremantle Football Club.
I apologise to Stephen and his family.

I actually feel quite sick now that I've done it.
Guilty. Surprised he lasted as long as he did.

Grundy scores with Cameron playing this year
RD2 - 115
RD3 - 103

Food for thought for people putting the C on
From memory these were also the games where Grundy spent time off getting treatment for a knock to the back or hip or something wasn't it.
Wouldn't read a great deal into it in terms of being concerned at Grundy's scoring potential.

Hill couldn't even survive to his bye. Shouldn't be surprised but still.
I was a bit worried he might've missed one game in the next two. I was just hoping he'd play two more til his bye but couldn't even play one!

"adductor strain" doesn't sound like a one week injury, with a bye so soon, I reckon he'll be out for 3 games. I'm gonna trade him this round now over Brander.

Possible good news for Darcy owners.

COLLINGWOOD coach Nathan Buckley admits Mason Cox has fallen back in the Magpies' forward pecking order, with the marking target overlooked for Sunday's clash with West Coast..........Tall options Ben Reid and Darcy Cameron were both named in Collingwood's extended squad, with Buckley saying Cox, who has averaged six disposals and a goal in four games this season, needed to find form at scratch match level........"Mason has an opportunity to go back and, whether it's one week or two weeks, to ply his trade and bring his strengths to the table.......

Ironically now Close is a confirmed in and if Coleman gets a game aswell it ruins my option to loophole Pickett with Simpson
Up until now I haven’t even been able to loophole at all because I have been scrambling to to try and complete a full midfield. Now it could be the opposite with all rookies on the bench playing. I have had Close & Coleman since day 1 ??
lol I've had Close as my FD all season too. Let's hope he can sting a few games.
