My VC was selected based on this post. At half time I can certainly say thank you!
Put the VC on Macrae at 7:39PM. Pretty happy with that!

Huge shout out to @Connoisseur for his work in getting up the incredible stats on all our possibly C and VCs each and every weeks.

It's absolutely incredible and a fantastic resource for SCS.
Too kind. As usual I am always happy to be of assistance or hopefully provide reassurance.

I've really, really been lucky with C scores this year, but I took the VC off of Macrae and put it on Grundy earlier in the week anticipating I'd get a Rivers doughnut to facilitate the loop, so I'm really really nervous until I hopefully get a decent (1% chance of better) C Score from Gawndy.

Hunter out made me worry that Macrae would play a more outside game but 169 is absolutely superb to be able to lock in and unless Grundy/Gawn go 170+ I'll have the self-torment in my head for not putting the VC on someone I had seriously considered.

Starting to get cold too.

Can't see myself picking Bont as a mid only ever again.
Yikes, I had just lined him up as an upgrade target! What has you concerned?

I noticed his disposals efficiency was poor last night (was just following on Fanfooty, was around 37% late in the game) ... I figured that would bounce back and he’d be a durable 105+ player?

Mainly he's become a regular target for opposition teams and can be played elsewhere. No Naughton and Schache might be affecting him.

I only started him this year because I thought the shorter quarters would favour the high impact players. The biggest difference seems to be time on ground with some of these players hardly leaving the ground although Gawn and Neale dipped below 90% last round for the first time this season. Bonts time on ground the last 3 games has been around 80. We will probably see more management for the rest of the year.

Jeez, I've stuffed up a bit this week. Missed Macrae last night. Unless Serong doesn't play I can't do Grundy into Gawn.

Going to have to look a bit left-field with the VC: Whitfield, Docherty, Cripps, Sicily, Saad... help!

I don't have Neale or Gawn, Fyfe is surfing at Margaret River and Grundy has to play some fat lazy bugger.
Bont into Cripps!

I feel so alone right now.
P Cripps:

Last 3 VS NM: 104 from 3 (low of 92 and a high of 123, 2/3 below 100, 1/3 120+)
2019 Wins Avg: 121.5 from 6 (2/6 below 100, 2/6 120+)
2019 Losses Avg: 115.21 from 14 (5/14 below 100, 7/14 120+)

Thanks mate, good colour. Might need to do some digging into Naughton and Schache’s return dates, and consider the TOG issue further.

Probably the best strategic option for me is Gawn into Dangerfield..
P Dangerfield:
Avg VS Freo since 2012: 129.1 from 10 (low of 57 and a high of 188, 3/10 below 100, 7/10 120+)
Last 3 VS Freo: 98.67 from 3 (low of 57 and a high of 145, 2/3 below 100, 1/3 120+)
2019 Wins Avg: 117.13 from 15 (6/15 below 100, 8/15 120+)
2019 Losses Avg: 110.33 from 6 (2/6 below 100, 3/6 120+)
2020 Wins Avg: 122.75 from 4 (2/4 140+)
2020 Losses Avg: 95 from 3 (2/3 below 100, 1/3 120+)

All of his 100+ games against the Dockers have been in excess of 120+.

Treloar into Gawn.

"Caleb, thanks for your excellent score and for lifting to beat your BE of 121.
With your 88 game history of averaging 80 and only scoring 120 or over 4 times (with 2 being exactly 120) and a highest of 130 the match committee did not consider you worthy of the VC armband although we certainly consider you a wanted and valuable member of our squad and you can be assured that coaches votes are there for the B & F.
In the exact same situation should it present itself again you will be permitted to don the VC armband with pride.
Keep up the good work."

The above was posted by me after Daniels 134 in round 3.

I VC'd him today.

Do I take the 128 or stick with big Max against the work experience kids?

Points in the bank as insurance against an early injury or rely on the guy averaging 150+
Keeping the C on Max, not only averaging 150 but has only scored under my vc score once way back in March.

The answer was Sicily, folks. Mr. Sicily of the Hawthorn Football Station.
