Is it pretty much time to cash Daniher in now that he's set to lose $35-40k over the bye rounds, or are coaches hanging onto him as a warm body for rounds 12 and 14 and are not too worried about the leaking cash in preference of having that stronger bye round coverage?
He will be either in the team for the rest of the season or be a very late upgrade.

Considering Daniher to Heeney myself, while it still costs nothing.

Daniher has been a solid pick and Horse’s comments are concerning, will be stewing on it this week for sure.

Would complete my forwards with Ziebell, Hall, Dusty, Heeney, Impey, Cameron.

Not the best, really need some better scoring from Cameron.

I think Zorko could be a good 5-10 ppg better than Hawkins on the run home, so you'd better have a good need for that cash.

While we're talking, how about Oliver to Neale for nearly $150k in a few weeks? :p
The Lions have a bit of a cake schedule rest of the season: North, Cats, Crows, Saints, Tigers, Suns, Dockers, Pies, Eagles. I'd say it's probably the easiest schedule for midfielders in particular out of any of the clubs. GWS also have a pretty easy run of it post-bye; there first three games after especially are very easy.

Edit: which is to say in reference to this thread, hold your Daniher?

Think you’re probably right on the scoring. Do need the cash but a Murphy to rookie option is probably a better way to get it.

I would be extremely tempted by that move, how Neale scores early back from injury is the question.

Zorko is also a 2nd half of the season beast, significantly better.

As someone who went Hawkins instead of Zorko (truth is it was Martin instead of Zorko, was always going Hawk) I'm definitely filled with regret two weeks into it!

I think I need to make Zorko a priority to get in which will cost me
I was just thinking the same thing. Feels really bad after he's posted such a huge score, but 579k for the far and away #1 forward in the game isn't awful.

Only 135k required to move Impey up to him, which I don't hate with Impey getting moved around on the weekend and Day due back soon.

I’ll need to keep Impey, probably from Flynn for me

Ziebell still averages 8 points more than him.

Zorko is prone to 60 point stinkers, so I would wait for one of those games before bringing him in.

You can get Neale for the same price right now, who will probably steal a fair bit of Zorko's midfield time when he returns this week or after the bye.

Yep, an hour later I've decided I can't stomach paying close to 600k for Zorko I've always hated the lad as well so I wouldn't get much enjoyment out of the pick haha.

It’s more the differential in points between playing a premium forward over a forward rookie like Rowe/Waterman against a Neal and Jordon that is hurting me

Any love for Charlie Dixon in the thread? He's in a good run of form and doesn't have the worst run post-bye. Hawkins is the gold-standard key forward for SC (with good reason) but his post-bye run isn't exactly cake. Dixon was probably a buy a few rounds ago but his salary is still manageable. Genuine POD obviously as well.

Not from me and prefer R Gray instead ( if you are after a fwd option from Port) for a saving of $40,000.

8/11 rounds with 10 or more Centre Bounce Attendances.
Quiet start to the season with only 10 goals between RD1-RD9 but has recorded 5 goals from his last 2 matches.

Don't hate it, he's a rollercoaster but can score well and has good fixtures. Scored premium levels last year.

Zorko I'd be waiting for the Neale and Berry impacts before paying top dollar for him, it doesn't take a big role change to push him back to high 90s scoring and make him a bad buy.

Been tossing up between forwards all week. Currently have Dusty/Hall/Ziebell/Heeney. Think i've narrowed it down to Hind or Bolton. Had preferred Hind all week but now starting to seriously warm to Bolton. Any thoughts?
