My side as it stands now. I know I only have 10 premiums, I won't be fully upgrading this year. Banking on rookies failing to get consistent games or sub affected.

Most will probably field Campbell & Powell.

Toss a coin on your 3 mid benches , maybe Gulden as E.

ok 1st attempt at a team after autofill. I'm going without Gawn, Grundy and Neale. I don't usually pick too many Carlton players, but think, this is the year to do it. Stef Martin in the ruck or forward will get some nice ball coming his way, unless Treloar is kicking it. Still not familiar with the rookies, so don't take too much notice.

Now now Professor is this really the way you want to approach the season ?

I actually don't mind all your mid price picks individually but will they work as a whole ?

Mind you I see the merits in all of :-

Cumming , Young , Fantasia
Tyson , J Clark , Dow
Martin
Ziebell , Daniher , Impey

so maybe you are heading the right way

BUT

what does Fyfe to Powell (NM) allow you to do ?

Maybe Aliir/Fantasia/Clark to a premium

and Daniher/Impey to a Zorko

and where is Fullarton ?

do like the Hind pick though

Lol, atm they're all placeholders until a pattern is established in the 1st few rounds. Will rookies get dropped after 1 or 2 games, will we get rookies named as injury subs? Having the midpricers there gives me insurance that they play and score well, in most instances. Hoping for minimal reliance on onfield rookies until we see how things pan out. Players like Sharp, Kosi, Downie, Brockman, McNeal probably won't last long, add the forward risk with the likes of Ziebell, Daniher, Impey, Fantasia, who have injury history, it could all turn to sh**t in 1 round, let's hope not.

That's the million dollar question isn't it though ?

How long will these rookies stay and play to make enough $$$ to upgrade.

Pick the best 8 and put them as your bench.

Then find 8-10 $ 225-$275 k players with decent JS and hope they get close to $ 400k before upgrading.

Maybe 18-22 trades then a few luxury upgrades in the final rounds.

Heeney, currently in my side. But i can't tell you why. I've picked him for zero reasons, a really lazy pick by me if I'm honest. Anyone else got him? Really thinking of him down to Zeibs but im not sure what I'll do with the 200k it liberates. Could go Duggan to laird.

Just need to be patient for 2 rounds (at least) but I think your captain could be on notice if he does not perform better already.

Go the rookie rucks , probably need 6 games in a row from all 4 of them to make it work , so will be monitoring the Ryder/Marshall situation as best I can
