Really having a tough time trying to decide which double down rookies to pick this week...
Seems like the general consensus is:
- Poulter
- RCD
- Byrnes
For mine...
1. RCD - Best role/scoring potential. Job security the next few weeks is very decent but long term definitely could be an issue but he's getting as good a chance as he can to win and hold a spot. Worst bye of the 3 is the other big negative on him.
2. Poulter - DPP has legitimate value, especially as the likes of Scott and a few other DPP guys are heading out. Role is solid but there is the Bucks factor where he could end up in worse positions really quickly, Macrae went from a great quarter on ball to forward pocket for example. Job security is on that earn it level, keep playing well and he keeps playing. Ideal bye.
3. Byrnes - Role is similar to Poulter, a pretty neutral wing role, last week was more extra midfielder, 1st game more defensive winger. Think he holds the spot as long as the Hill at HB experiment keeps working and paying dividends but that could end at any point. He's played well and scored well and it's a decent role. Also has ideal bye.
I think they're all pretty even though and probably the bye/DPP factors should be important tie breakers for most. RCD has the most explosive upside over the next couple of weeks but also the biggest obstacles to a long term spot.
