FINAL
What a great season we have had, culminating with a brilliant final where Humphries takes down Littler 7-4
Congratulations to @THCLT for taking out the competition, in a closely fought dual all season with @Rowsus and @Jay Sea

The Premier League spots are announced tomorrow, so let's all enjoy a bit of respite for the next couple of weeks, before season 2024 kicks off.
Well done to all participants for sticking out 2 seasons. Pretty gruelling having to be engaged in a season long sport.

Missed the final, but Littler is sure going to have a career based on that tournament despite this loss. Humphries continues his great form this year and was a deserved winner. 100+ ave and a big fish in the final from both players shows it would have been a top quality final.

Thanks for running the competition @The Banker, I can't fault your dedication to it and it looks like it will be even better this year. As mentioned, I'll likely give it a miss in 2024, but I still had fun trying to succeed with different picks to everyone else at times after a poor start to the season. I don't think that's a regular winning strategy unfortunately.

Hopefully you can get a few more join for 2024, I have seen a few other posters mentioning darts at times who may be willing to have a go, but even people who have never followed it before will pick up relatively quickly as to who the better players are.

But this article takes the cake.
”Perhaps the last person capable of putting this achievement into any kind of perspective is Littler himself, for whom 105-plus averages and otherworldly excellence are simply the norm. If you want to measure the strength of a storm, you check the historical record, you survey the destruction and levelled buildings it leaves in its wake. You don’t thrust a microphone into the breeze and ask it to explain itself.”

Luke 'cool hand' Humphries was just that in the Final.

23 x 180's from 48 legs, the amount of time he opened a leg with a 180 was just insane and it proved too much in the end.

Great experience for Littler, he didn't do too much wrong apart from dropping his double hit % as the match wore on. I have no doubt that he's just warming to being on the big stage.

Came in to write Littler in the Prem 🥰

Just about got it right imo.

Thought Dobey for Wright was the alternative. Hard to give a 2x WC and late season tournament winner the flick though
