Hey all, getting close to the draft obviously and looking at some options

I'm realising that I need to fill quite a few list spots so would be interested in deals that bring back either multiple players, or more likely multiple draft picks. I currently have 7 picks but if I could get that closer to 11 would mean less pressure at the Auction.

Core players not up for trade would be Walsh, Serong, Pittonet, Ladhams, Dunkley, Butters.

All others I would listen to offers for obviously with different expectations of what a package might look like dependant on the player. Probably the most valuable remaining names would be the likes of Dale, Saad, Rioli, Crisp, Hewett, Hopper, Adams.

Hit me up if you have any proposals!

Given the auction is coming up next weekend …

… if anyone is running short on time, but wants to make changes to their squad, I’m happy to discuss.

I’m happy to suggest deals and be flexible on structures etc, especially if other coaches are commercial on value and able to give feedback on what they do and don’t like 🙂

Ok after a night of review I have come up with a base list to build my side around.

The following experienced players I will entertain possible deals with and are on the table:

Hunter Clark
Jack Bowes
Ryan Burton
Oliver Wines
Jaiden Stephenson.

If I am able to make a trade or two; or acquire certain players in the auction, then the following may also be tradable:

Tom Hickey
Aaron Naugton

In terms of my youth:
Zac Reid
Denver Grainge-Barras

The rest of my youth are practically off the table, but will consider a like for like deal for another young player if wanting to switch.

All draft picks, except pick 2, are also tradeable.

I might post a few ideas here … sing out if you have interest 🙂

- I have pick 35, and would be interested to move up the order. Happy to include a 2024 pick, or a player, to facilitate.

- I also have picks 4, 6 and 10 and would be interested to move any of those up further.

Gents - as a number of you have identified, I am tight for list spots after a couple of late acquisitions at the auction.

Assuming I extend all my second contract players, and use all my draft picks, would mean I need to free up two spots.

My options include not using all my picks, not extending all my players for their second contract, or delisting a cheapie.

Alternately I can trade players and/or picks … which means I’m not desperate, but am motivated to get a deal done.

I also think my candidates to free up a spot have some utility for another coach, and would rather send them to a loving home then back to the pool!

My off the table guys are listed here, and I’m happy to be flexible on names and structure etc outside of that.

https://supercoachscores.com/threads/scsul-trade-bait.4629/post-959120

I may touch base with you tonight/tomorrow to see if we can arrange something before Friday morning’s deadline, but if you have anything you’d like to explore, please let me know and we can get the ball rolling.

I’m interested in continuing trading outside of addressing my list spots, so one deal need not preclude another anyway 🙂

With Short and Pendles now less likely to get DPP in R6, I’m looking to add to my defence.

A playing defender is preferred, with some interest in a longer term prospect.

If you have interest in receiving a mid, forward or draft capital for a DEF, please let me know 🙂

After a horror run of injuries to best 22 and depth players alike, The Darkness is looking ahead to 2024.

Gun forward Charlie Dixon is exploring opportunities for premiership glory at another club. The list management team is prepared to explore options to facilitate a deal.

  • Long history of premium output: 8 years in a row averaging 86-91
  • Timely return: Currently injured, due to return in 7-8 weeks, ahead of SCSUL finals
  • Elite intercept marker: Seeing plenty of ball down back in a rebuilding West Coast side
  • Gone to new level, as Eagles bottom out: Excluding injury games, 2022-23 scores are as follows:
116
108
68
115
107
62
92
128
117
115

Average: 103

Ranked 7th vs 2023 defenders / 8th vs 2022 defenders

- One of the best SuperCoach players of all time, 13 seasons averaging 100+

- Set to break the all time disposal record later this season

- Allegedly has a basketball background

- 61% centre bounce attendance, despite two low TOG games (tactical sub / poked in eye)

- Excluding those games, averaging c. 105 (top 20 MID)

  • Very high scoring capacity. Season average of 95, 5-round average of 120, including a 139 and 152.
  • DPP flexibility. Plays enough mid time to score very highly, and enough forward time to maintain FWD status.
  • Discounted salary. Front-ended contract reduces 2024 salary from 690k pa to 490k. 2023 salary is covered, meaning c. 1.5 UL seasons (>1m in salary) of scoring is available for 490k.
  • Top forward. All Australian 2022, #1 forward based on AFL Player Ratings.
