Goldstein is averaging 113, making him the third highest averaging player in my team. Sure we may have overpaid compared to those whom jump on him now, but he is still in the trust side of the ledger for mine, not the trap side.

Interesting time to bring this thread back to attention. What are people's thoughts? Goldy started like a house on fire but the last 2 weeks has come back to the field. He's now lost 100k and has a B/E of 200.
Great bump anfa. As mentioned earlier, those who started Gawn/NicNat are definitely ahead at this stage, especially if the loose change was spent on avoiding Lonergan/Sheridan/BCrouch.

Goldy hasn't been an especially bad pick. Most who were willing to pay his starting price would've been well aware that a drop in price/average was more than likely, it was more the peace of mind of owning him brought which was the appeal and knowing that you were a near certainty to own a durable, almost guaranteed top 2 ruck.

His now discounted price is also less important as most coaches started with set and forget rucks so his price is only useful if one of your ruckmen get injured.

It would be less of an issue or more of a win if you started Gawn and NN over Goldy/anyone. Averages so far:

Gawn 126.7
NN 115.4
Goldy 113.0

All 3 are in the top 10 averages for all players

Then a fair gap down to:

Blicavs 102.1
Mumford 99.6
Lycett 92.7
Stef 92.1
Hickey 90.0
Campbell 87.7
Tippett 86.9
Jacobs 84.9

Mummy, Stef and Jacobs have lost a lot of cash like Goldy has.

Yep definitely and it begs the question, do you upgrade (or technically sideways) Jacobs to Goldy for a 25-30ppg gain?

You'd have to consider it I think

I went with Goldy/NN and it's hard to say having 2 players in the top 10 averages overall is not a good outcome but geez Gawn has those monsters (but then goes under 100 4 times out of 7). I just have to hope he corrects down soon.

It would be a luxury trade that i will make only if there are no better trade options in 2 weeks. No solid rookies on the bubble and no fallen premiums to help complete my team. If the stars don't align in 2 weeks, i will focus on getting Goldy/Nic Nat or Gawn after the byes.

Definitely you needed to start 2 of Goldy/Gawn/NN, otherwise the damage is done.

Gawn has been a monster and a beast so far, his ceiling is the part I'm terrified the most as it can be the difference between winning and losing league matches. The Demons centre bounce setup is amazing and Gawn just knows how to feed them the ball, would not surprise me if he is way out in front in the H2A stats.

NN would be the equal of Gawn if not for his low TOG%. With Lycett doing so well, the Eagles seems to be taking a conservative approach to NN when their games are decided early. I just hope that the Eagles plays in more closely contested game as this is the only way NN is going to spend more than 70% TOG.
