Kez blew her idol there, but I don't blame her. Smart choice to play it on herself anyway.
Yeah such a shame but the vote was very close so I think it was the right decision for her. All it takes was Daini to flip and she'd go home with an idol in her pocket.

Have loved the last 2 immunity challenges, incorporating puzzles definitely evens it up. The last 2 reward challenges have definitely been all brawn though.

George became the MVP haha despite how socially awkward he was.

Hope this isn't spoiling too much but I can already rule out half the castaways from being the winner from the very first episode. But won't reveal how unless anyone wants me to private message them lol.

Thought George wasn't going play his idol, but they managed to flush it. He is annoying but I laughed when he came out wearing it
Thought it was pretty dumb that he came out strutting the idol like that. It's called a "hidden immunity idol" for a reason. Should have either kept quiet about it and then used it to full effect. But being how confident he was about having the numbers, shouldn't have used it once he started strutting with it out in the open like that. Would have respected him a little more if he had the guts to not play it.

Speaking of idols, Simon becomes the 2nd player ever on Australian Survivor to hold 2 immunity idols at one time. (The Golden God David Genat being the first).

One other thing that annoyed me other than George lol me was brains had to sit out 2 for the reward meaning 9 vs 9 for the challenge. First to 5 points would have made much more sense than first to 3 points. (Unless of course they heavily edited it because brawn won 5-1)

With Imunnity, I can definitely see the trend. Basically as soon as there's a puzzle Brains win hands down. Tonight there was no puzzle and was an easy brawn win. However on Sunday night when there was a puzzle the brawn tribe didn't know how to spell survivor on Sunday's episode. The word was Survive but then they added the R at the end which I thought was hilarious when literally all the banners around say survivor on it. 🤣

Mitch definitely shot himself in the foot by being the de facto leader from day 1. Loved that comment at the end from Hayley about staying in the middle. It's definitely a better strategy seeing as it's a longer game then the US version.

The Brawn tribe finally solved a puzzle! Brains tribe definitely didn't use their brains tonight. Sitting out their best puzzle solver was a blunder and then putting their weaker players on the spinning wheel was another mistake.

I had a gut feeling this wasn't an elimination episode as JLP never mentioned that the person would be going home. Instead he used "voted out". However I did not expect Cara basically voting herself out by playing the idol for George. Would have much preferred to see how George would have gone in the brawn tribe instead. Can't wait to see how this unfolds regardless.

A thought occured to me. Wai obviously made the right choice to flip to the majority alliance.

What if scenario:
If Wai pretended to be in the majority. She could have switched her vote to Georgia and then Cara would not have needed to play the idol.
The votes would have been:
Georgia 4
Cara 3
George 3

She would then still be in a 5-4 minority after the tribal council. However if they keep the idol, then could have then tried to use it at the next tribal council and and predict the right vote and it could become an even 4-4 split. In Hindsight the majority 6 put a lot of faith in Wai.

Complicated, but yeah in the end the right way to have gone was with the majority seeing as a tribe swap could happen anytime soon. Would have been some great gameplay though.

Best Survivor episode of the season by far!

Macedonian Jesus strikes again. George the politician with 9 lives. One minor thing I didn't like was the "hidden" immunity idol being announced like that at the challenge. But it definitely was the thing that sparked Hayley to finally make a move. Love the well orchestrated blindside from Queen Hayley! Definitely my favourite player now after that.

The brains tribe have dodged a massive bullet though with the tribe swap announced as losing Joey meant they were doomed to lose even more challenges. In Hindsight, Joey getting rid of Mitch made him become the new top dog and we all know that the top dog gets voted out sooner rather than later. Players should be keeping shields close to them instead of taking them out.

I think Hayley is a bit lucky as she can now hide away from being top dog after being the mastermind. But also now everyone knows she has an idol which could be her downfall. Depending on how the tribe split is, I think she'll go far.

Random quote of the episode:
Laura enjoying the BBQ and describing it as "an angel pissing in my mouth” 🤣

I'm way behind on Survivor, I'll catch up after the Olympics. Is it worth going back and watching the episodes I've missed (Ep 4 on)?

Don't normally comment on reality shows but Blind Freddy could see that coming

What a monumental **** up
Jeez... how the frick did a brain stuff that up. Thought Emmett was the one who would have stuffed that up. I honestly would have enjoyed it a lot more if he stuffed it up.

Instead now she has done two things that isn't worthy of someone being on the show. How she got to be classed on the brain tribe is beyond me. Pretty mad tbh. The dumbest player to have ever played survivor has been crowned tonight. (Well at least in the Aussie version.) Went from the greatest episode to the worst episode in the space of 24 hours.

Best to stay away from the thread until you catch up. Yes every episode probably needs to be watched even if you've seen spoiler.

I've seen a **** load of Survivor over the past 20+ years but I'm struggling to remember such an elementary botching of a Tribal Council. Yes there have been some confused votes over the journey but that's normally after some unexpected twist on the night that the voting majority really weren't expecting and don't have an opportunity to fully communicate and adjust on the fly.

But everything went to script as they were expecting and they still managed to balls it up.

Will now be written into the annals of Survivor stupidity alongside Erik giving away his immunity necklace only to then be immediately voted out in US Season 16 Micronesia.

Yep definitely.

Top 5 dumbest moves for the American version IMO.

1. Erik giving his idol to Natalie definitely no.1
2. James going home with 2 idols in his pocket.
3. Tyson voting himself out is similar to Cara's one last night.
4. JT giving his idol away to Russell.
5. Woo bringing Tony into the final two costing him 1 million dollars (this one probably is the most costly though so could be classed higher)

Hayley in two episodes has become my favourite. Absolutely love the way she is playing the game!

The way she she used the idol to her advantage to not only protect her minority tonight, but not even end up using the idol was brilliant!
Echoes my sentiments too. From Sunday's episode and tonight's episode. Queen Hayley is a mastermind! Such an amazing player. Having the kahunas to not use it and break up that Brawn 5 was next level genius! Definitely Brains thru in thru!

I would have done the exact same thing except I probably would have ended up wasting the idol in that situation lol.

I can't wait to see her flush Simon's idols. You just know it's going to happen!

A much better episode than Monday's disaster.

A decent chance the Brawn team give the game away here I reckon. Some of them can’t help but smile when they throw it, or give each other a knowing look.

Great episode, after two more pedestrian episodes. Thought Cara almost gave it up by talking back to Baden. Simon should have suspected something then because if it was all going the way he thought with everyone on Flick then there would have been no need for anyone to chat to her and George.

Hayley by far the craftiest one there and solidified her position as my favourite to watch, am hoping that she can keep it up in the merge on Sunday.

Exactly - I thought his ears had pricked up when he saw them having a conversation there should have been no need for! That, plus the entry of two outsiders to the vote, seemed like it was going to be enough to make him play an idol.

The acting at tribal council wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be, they did well to get through it.

Dani seems filthy about receiving votes, I suspect she’ll be vengeful until she ultimately gets chopped too!
