I can't see anyone but Hayley winning at this point. Flick if she somehow makes final 2 is the only one who would, but I don't see her getting there. I actually admire how George has managed to survive this far despite everyone wanting him gone, but his social game is awful, so nobody will vote for him to win. Wai and Cara have zero chance - I expect one to make final 2 and get smashed, probably Wai.

Agree with most of your points. It hasn't been the best season.
Definitely agree with you. Wai & Cara are the biggest goats in Survivor History. The only way they'd win it is if one of them wins the final gruesome likely endurance based immunity challenge and then take each other to the final two. 🤣🤣🤣

If Flick was smart, she shouldn't tell anyone about her hidden immunity idol and use her one vote to vote out Hayley. Hayley is her only remaining physical threat. Flick has lots of friends on the jury and George has pissed far too many off. But Flick could just take one of the goats with her to final two assuming she can win all the immunity challenges remaining.

However I think it's likely one of Cara/George goes next as I suspect Hayley will pull Flick in and finally break up the power couple of George/Cara.

Yep, I basically agree with this. Flick is lucky that she has that idol, and is the obvious one for the “alliance” of four to vote for, so she can basically blindside a person of her choosing, provided that alliance holds and doesn’t split votes (which in this case is the same thing 😋). She’s actually in quite a powerful position, she just has to be a bit smarter than she has been at times this season (eg calling out George for not trying was smart - and something I thought was unwise from him at the time - but could have been more effective done later). As was pointed out on Talking Tribal (check it out on Ten Play), she basically made it easier for Hayley to keep George and vote out Dani/Flick, because it showed a significant vulnerability in George’s pitch, and one that will play poorly with that jury.

I also agree that Hayley would be the one to take out. Wai will then be orphaned and probably an easy one to pair up with/influence, making it 2-2 at the following immunity. She should beat any of those three in any given pure physical challenge, and quite possibly beat all of them in all of them, so she could take Wai/Cara with her and win the whole thing.

Another alternative for her may be to show she has the idol ahead of the next immunity, largely forcing the four to break up. She can then pick which side she wants to join, and presumably vote out the person of her choosing. She actually wouldn’t have to play the idol to be safe at that tribal, so even though it expires, assuming no one else knows that, it could provide her with good protection at the second to next tribal as well. [I’m not sure if it’s a universal and widely known rule that all idols expire after final five - but if there’s doubt about that, that’s all that may be needed.]

Nine Perfect Strangers on Amazon Prime.
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt8760932/
Synopsis: Nine stressed city dwellers visit a boutique health-and-wellness resort that promises healing and transformation. The resort's director is a woman on a mission to reinvigorate their tired minds and bodies.

Filmed in Byron Bay and stars Australian talent such as Nicole Kidman, Asher Keddie and Samara Weaving, along with Melissa McCarthy, Michael Shannon and Bobby Cannavale. Starts off slow and a few issues related to introducing all the characters in a very short space and how they came to attend and know of (or lack thereof) the retreat but gets better as the season and story progresses.

Just when I thought Michael Shannon could not top his iron scene in Boardwalk Empire, he belts out a stirring rendition of a Grease number in Episode 5.

Watched the first 2 episodes; its one of those series where I'm on the fence at this point. Has potential, but could also fizzle out depending on where they take the story lines to.

Well played by George tonight. I still think he has almost zero chance of getting jury votes at this point, but he has been very aware of what he needs to do to survive to the end. Pity for his sake that is only part of the game.

I take it from the promo for next episode that Flick wins immunity, and I am guessing that George and Hayley vote together to vote out Cara (based on George's comment this episode about taking Hayley to the final two - they showed that for a reason), with Cara voting Hayley. In the final 3, Hayley wins the final immunity, takes George and wins the title. George might get Cara's vote (depending on how the next episode goes), that would be about it. 8-1 is my guess.

Great Survivor instinct by George tonight to suspect Flick may have an idol, and to change his plan which ensured he didn't go home.

The episode sums up Wai's game. If she took any kind of chance, or decided to do any kind of move, she should have proactively organised to get George out. Instead she played safe again, did nothing; which ultimately saw her go.

I actually think that George's best chance of getting jury votes is having Cara in the final 2. She has been nothing but his side kick. Then argues to the jury all about his game play etc. Essentially hope the jury puts aside their personal dislike for him and recognise his survivor resume as they say; compared to Cara's resume which is basically just stuffing up her vote that one time, lol.

As soon as Hayley won immunity, splitting the vote was very predictable for fear of hidden immunity idols. Splitting votes is survivor 101... unless you have Cara in your alliance of course. Can never know what you get with her when splitting votes. :ROFLMAO: rip Daini.

Not sure if it was just the edit but geez, Cara's reluctance to not split the vote was very dumb. Still the dumbest Survivor player in my book. However, maybe deep down she knew that Wai was her only hope of winning Survivor? As she now has 0 chance now against the other 3.

Cara 0 chance no matter who she's in the final 2 with.

Agree with @Philzsay that George's best chance is to sit against Cara in the final 2.

Hayley's best chance is to take either of George/Cara.

Flick probably gets sympathy votes and all her friends on the jury will vote for her so could arguably win against anyone. There's no chance in hell that Flick vs George would be the final 2. However her best chance is taking Cara to final 2.

Knowing all of this, I agree with @Ironhawk that Flick wins immunity and Hayley/George team up against Cara as George likely needs Hayley to win the final immunity challenge as George knows he can't win immunity as he gives up too easily and that Flick is 100% not taking George to final 2 no matter what. Hayley knows that if she votes George out, and if Flick were to win final immunity, she would clearly take the goat Cara to final 2. Therefore, if Cara gets voted out at 4, Hayley pretty much is guaranteed final 2.

Would love a Hayley vs George final 2 showdown. Clear best 2 players of the season.

PS I find it funny how we use the term goat in survivor whereas in every other day use that I use it it means exactly the opposite!!
During my brief glances at the Survivor related posts, I noticed the term has become very popular. As a way to attract an old viewer, it would add another dimension if they were to be tethered or had to care for one throughout the series.

Usually when they get an animal on Survivor, they end up killing and eating it. I know there has been the rare occasion they keep them alive, but not often. I'm not sure it would go down well if they killed a goat on TV (although there hasn't been massive outrage when they have killed chickens).

As for this episode, it went pretty much as I expected. Well done by Hayley to keep the vote off herself and to get George and Cara to vote for each other.

That final immunity looks interesting from the preview, pretty sure Hayley wins it even after seeing the preview, taking George. Hayley/George final 2 should be interesting - definitely the two most deserving to be there.

Excellent play from George last episode to identify that Flick had an idol, come up with an alternate plan, and then convince a reluctant Cara to execute on it. She seems like a lively person, but I think the most deserving top 3 have made it through.

Hayley did well with her pitch, but I think the most compelling point was the one she didn’t really seem to emphasize .., that aside from all that’s required to make it to final two, once George or Cara get there, Flick has a lot of friends on the jury and will have a pitch that will be appealing to a lot of people.

Very happy the goats Cara and Wai are gone the last two episodes.

As we seem to agree George and Hayley probably deserve it the most having really made the show this season.

Think the drinking game for the finale is to have a drink each time George mentions being a political operative! 😂

And just quietly the producers won't mind Flick being in the last 3 as you have the whole Mother passing emotional story line in the finale as well.

Well, George got 1 more vote than I expected. I'm still not sure if he realises that his social game was awful, George needed to own that he upset almost everyone as an outcome of his strategy more to have any chance of getting them to vote for him, but I still think a few were not voting for him in any case. Dodging around questions like a typical politician didn't help his chances either.

Well done by Hayley, she deserved it. The best player won the sesson, even if every single person in the game had unanimously voted her out earlier on. You shouldn't get to come back from that unless everyone is given a chance to get back in the game after being voted out.

Did Wai even get to ask a question tonight? I don't remember it if she did.

Overall an OK season, but not as good as some of the earlier ones.

Congrats to Queen Hayley!

Best deserved final 2 in the history of Australian Survivor IMO. Although the votes suggested otherwise.

George's opening speech wowee, was very powerful. Thought Hayley was in trouble for a second there but George's chances quickly diminished once he started answering the jury's questions. Not taking responsibility for his actions was one of his major flaws. Typical politician move. Hayley on the other hand being able to turn every negative question pointed towards her into a positive answer was so very well done. So well spoken. Thought Cara's question was a bit dumb, lying is part of the game. Seemed like she was still a bit bitter Hayley voted her out at final 4. A little disappointed Hayley didn't claim the move of turning George and Cara against each other at final 4. The best all round player of the season won. She along with the Golden God David have been my favourite Australian winners so far.

Australian Survivor back in February 2022 with the themed tipped to be Blood Vs Water (so that means at least 12 previous castaways to come back.)

For those who can't wait for next year to get their Survivor fix, you won't have to wait too long. US Survivor Season 41 starts next week I believe. Thursday 23rd on ch 9GO!

Old school survivor is dead though. We just have to get used to the fact that it's also a televison show and that they have to make it engaging for the casual viewers so we have to learn to get used to all the idols/advantages/twists/redemption/edge of extinction type things. Still hoping they can make it a final 3 like US Survivor, not liking my chances though.

I did notice Wai didn't get a chance to ask a question. Much like I forgot she existed all season 🤣. Just kidding.

Agree with all of the above!

Wrapt Hayley won, became my favourite early on and went on to take it out. Her answers were spot on.

George oh George, opening speech was fine but he was appalling at answering the questions. This is the point where you open up about everything and acknowledge all of the things you did that hurt other people, not brush it off. Probably still would have lost but may have got another vote or two.

I do wonder what the result would have been if it was Hayley v Flick in the final 2? Reckon it may have been 5-4 either way. Redundant question though as Flick would have gone against George I reckon if she won the immunity challenge.

Wai's questions must have been left on the production floor, surely would have been given the opportunity to ask!

I think if you are playing Australian idol these days you must assume there is one idol in play ALL the time. So if you don't know who has it, it means someone not in your alliance has it. And as soon as someone plays one, immediately go start searching as the production will put it back into play straight away.

I don't mind the two people going to exile island/redemption rock twists of the series; but the Urns twist this year was plain stupid. My wife has a conspiracy theory that none of the Urns had a save for Andrew, but all of them had a save for Flick, as the production team desperately wanted the emotional Flick reunion with her partner in the finale.

BTW has anyone watched the 2 seasons of NZ Survivor that are on 10Play? Haven’t seen either, but are wondering whether they are worth binge watching at some point?
