Constable got 35 touches (25 kicks) in the 2nds, so every chance he comes in for Atkins.
Bittersweet pill then, Held Constable all the way through! Was hoping for more output from Atkins for these 2 weeks though!
I had that feeling with his Hammy, played the game out, was training again on the Monday after, it just felt like a wait and see for a week at least?
I'm thinking not this week but should be ready to go for the Kings Birthday match v Collingwood?
Everyone is challenging except for Sis...great work Hawks C...
Well they have lost the family club tag, so maybe they are working with being the honorable club, respect the rules comp club :p

Surely they appeal?

He hasn't thrown him hard into the ground, doesn't look like Neale's head hit the ground with any great impact - he got up straight away showing no effects from it. No concussions symptoms that I am aware of....
To me that looks like the perfect adjustment to the new interpretation of that tackle. Reduced the force and limited impact ensuring both players were not injured whilst bring him to ground to force a stoppage or holding ball. Perfect tackle

I own Laird and completely disagree with the suspension, but its the one thing the tribunal has been consistant with in their existance is these sling tackles this year, all 20 of them have been a suspension regardless of the player playing out the game etc. Sicily is more likely to get off in my opinion becuase there is no way that was medium impact on Caminiti, it was very low impact.

Can’t get off when they aren’t appealing it.

I wouldn't classify it as a true "sling" tackle - yes they spun around but it was not with any force/ he was bringing him to ground with minimal impact - there is no intent/malice in his actions.

Sicily has already accepted his 1 match ban btw/ chose to bump & unfortunately he caught him in the head when doing so, that's an automatic 1 week suspension these days.

I think it is time for the SuperCoach organisers to get their thinking caps and come up with a better solution to injuries, suspensions and byes. Surely they are capable of more than “I know….let’s give them extra trades”.

My suggestion would be to be able to buy a trade or rent a player. How interesting would it be if an injury, suspension or bye affected player could be replaced with another player worth say $100k less. It would convert the biggest turn-off(s) of the game into something of great opportunity and interest; less ghost ships and people leaving the game and more clicks; win, win, win.

Need to do something.

The only reason I am still competing still this year is to not let the leagues down - been the worst season I can recall with injuries/suspensions/rookies getting subbed or coming on as the sub late in games so screwing their cash generation. I know many feel the same way, easy to lose interest currently the way the game is at the moment.

I agree with you re Laird, but that hasn;t helped the others similair this year, i can't remeber any of them getting off and there has been 20 odd now i think. Apparently Sicily's isn;t an automatic suspension based on an article i read from a journalist saying it would be careless conduct, high contact and fine v suspension would come down to impact, i.e low impact fine, medium impact suspension. But if he's accepted it i'll just have to take solice in the fact he has scored me 478 points in the last 2 rounds

Injuries have always happened, the new tactical sub is cancer to all fantasy/supercoach formats, ruins cash gen completely for most rookies, even a fahey type is broken before he has even started due to scoring a 7 in 13% ToG. its too the point the need to just move to the fantasy format and give everyone 2 trades a week and 3 in bye rounds... just to be able to complete a team and downgrade/upgrade.

I am currently in an F1 format that has a version of this. What they do is have you "contract" a driver for a certain amount of rounds (that you choose from 1-5), then after that time put their current value into your bank and they are unavailable to you for the next race.

However, you can also end any contract early by giving up a percentage of their value. So if you have a driver (Perez ) that is going to tank you can just sell him early and put someone else in his place.

Might have to start picking all players that don't tackle, becoming a joke now.
Rory Atkins fits this mould but I already have him and he's likely to be dropped anyhow
Yeah, need the guys that half-heartedly grab a jumper or an arm as someone runs past with the ball... CD credits them the 4pts for a tackle but they were hardly stopping anything.

Bont gets them heaps :p

I’d happily rent a playing Drury if it means I get a 17th and 18th player.
