West Coast Eagles star Nic Naitanui to see a specialist as timeline removed over lengthy Achilles injury

West Coast will seek outside help in a desperate bid to find an answer to Nic Naitanui’s injury woes and have now removed any timeline around the star ruck’s return.

Naitanui will now be sent to a specialist as he continues to battle a long-term Achilles problem as the Eagles count the cost of another brutal weekend of carnage that added insult — and illness — to injury.

Lose. 10. Kilograms.

Mind bending that they need a specialist to look into it.

I think there comes a time where WCE need to stop tweeting about their injuries and start owning them and doing something about it.
They are apparently searching the world for the best medical & fitness staff as we speak. Would be a long overdue change to get some decent people at the top of their fields.

To be fair though, Quite a lot of the injuries are collision & impact based... Not sure there is anything they could do about those.

It's the hamstring and other soft tissue injuries that have you asking questions about strength & conditioning and training programs.

The injuries are one thing, but it seems to go right through the ranks with WC at the moment. New blood on the field and off is needed. As an EFC supporter, I can empathise. For your sake can only hope they realise sooner than Essendon.

Definitely... It starts at the top, and most WCE fans want it to start with Trevor Nisbett and the boys club around him. Get some fresh leadership in and new ideas... too many at the top of the club are too comfortable in their roles.

Searching the world?.
One person either currently or previously affiliated with the club knows someone who knows someone who happens to be currently based overseas thus constituting a worldwide search.

Need to remember football is a moronic and insular industry which is predicated on fans being gullible and taking statements at face value. What metrics are used to assess who is the best or is it more of a subjective nature? Would limitations in the soft cap restrict the ability to chase the “best” and under the assumption they have other organisations chasing their services, what stands out compared to the other suitors?

eg. It worked at Geelong; why not Essendon.
