Right now there are so many inconsistencies it is a joke. You can tackle a player with no intent of causing harm and in a manner that is careful but if the tackled player hits his head, irrespective of how careful the tackler has been you will almost always get time.
Yet you can take a flying leap after a 20m run up to gain momentum, into a pack of players with your knee up and nail someone in the back of the head with your knee and that is perfectly fine.
Makes the AFL look stupid and leaves everyone angry about why we even have rules.
