I think he was trying for 17, T20, D20, but landed the first in the triple 17 by mistake. He had to ask how many he still needed after the first dart.
Don't blame him, it'd be hard to work out quickly what your new targets should be after "missing" on your first dart if you are not great at maths, definitely easiest to get it to a round number like a 50 or 100 and work from there, which I think he planned to do (despite T19 probably being the way most would start that).
Very nice section of the draw for France and Canada to make a quarter final/semi final run and will be interesting to see how most teams go with the jump from best of 7 legs to best of 15 legs.
Crikey! Averaging less than 40 on the World stage!!!
Would have been better recruiting our man Adam, who is averaging much better than that, in his current season!!!
I mean, come on! You can't even hit single 20 twice from 3 goes???!!!

France a great shout and can cause plenty of trouble for the seeds. First time back at the World Cup since 2014 for the French, featuring Labre again who is now a tour card holder and the runner up from the 2022 WDF World Championship in Tricole. Both are averaging high eighties, have made a last sixteen at a Players Championship event this year and have won a Challenge Tour event in the past 18 months.
