Does that mean you can open the my completed team thread? If so put a good disclaimer on 'completed' (not nearly completed, I just need to do X next round)!

Well done, great number of trades left. I've got 22 premiums this round, but unfortunately/fortunately that includes Briggs at R3 so I won't be done until next round.
22 premiums this round?
or 22 playing?

What to do with Briggs is my big question this week.
Keep him and trade English? Or trade Briggs?
Oliver is coming in regardless. If English goes out I am able to upgrade Cogs to Trac.
Otherwise it would to Sheez/ Cogs to someone coming off the bye around the same price + $50k.
Have played around with the options that would open up trading English but don't think I'd ultimately be brave enough to do it, taking on R1 with a kid was bad enough one week let alone the rest of the season haha, dont have the forward spot for the Ruck swing either.

I can't trust Petracca enough to spend 655K on him.
+1 he's still capable of a low score with suspect ball use.

Counter-point is that we're very late into upgrade season, so if he's your last mid there's no really no point in waiting for a potential price drop. Would rather just get the premium in ASAP.

Melbourne midfield star Clayton Oliver could be ruled in or out of Thursday’s blockbuster clash with Geelong as soon as Tuesday, but is no certainty to return from injury.
Demons coach Simon Goodwin revealed the no-risk approach on Monday morning as he confirmed his team would travel to Geelong on Wednesday and train on the Cats’ home ground the day before the match for the first time, treating it “just like any other away game” in the hope of enhancing their preparation.

Oliver spent five days in hospital with an infected blister after recovering from a hamstring injury, and while Goodwin was “hopeful” for a return against the Cats, he wasn’t prepared to lock it in.

Melbourne was set to train on Monday after players had a four-day break across their bye weekend and Goodwin was not ready to declare either Oliver or Harrison Petty, who is coming off a foot injury, would definitely play the Cats.

“We’ll know a bit more today where’s at, both physically and whether he’s ready to perform at the level,” Goodwin said on Monday morning.

“He’s progressing well, we’re hopeful. Both he and Harrison Petty are in the same position.

“We’re hopeful but not certain. We need to make sure they train and pull up well. We’re not declaring them at this point.”

Goodwin said the five-day stint in hospital for Oliver, who was put through a rigorous training session on the MCG after his team’s King’s Birthday win over Collingwood, had impacted the on-baller.

“Spending five days in hospital isn’t ideal,” he said.

“It is about performance, making sure they are ready to perform and we won’t take any risks with any players.”

Melbourne is going the extra mile to prepare for the Cats, changing the dimensions of their oval at Casey Fields to match GMHBA Stadium in Geelong.

Following that the squad will travel to Geelong on Wednesday and stay overnight to put themselves in the best position for success.

The Demons have lost four of the past five clashes against the Cats in Geelong.

“We’ve played down there a lot in the last four of five years, we’ve had some success, but we’ve also had some poor performances,” Goodwin said.

“We want to train down there, get used to the environment. We’re going to leave no stone unturned.”

Melbourne is currently third on the AFL ladder while Geelong are in 10th with just one win in their past five games.

Only four of the top 10 currently own English. The POD move might actually be to hold him! The only issue is there is no one between the 520-570 range who screams pick me

Ziebell>Yeo

Means my final back 6 is Stewart, Daicos, Lloyd, Day, Sheezel and Yeo (LOL).

Then probably:
Ford>Maric
Humphrey>Dawson

Next week, I am trading Marshall to any mid (probably Bont) and Briggs can be my second ruck. Taranto finishes forward.

Will leave me with 4 trades and a pretty average team. If I can somehow get Dawson back and upgrade Yeo to a premium mid, then the team starts to look much better.

I saw this interview last week & he said he was struggling with his fitness after the hammy & than hospital stint. He said his foot felt fine

Being bed ridden fighting off infection on an IV loses alot of fitness, not sure why people are surprised by this, will not surprise me at all if they give him the extra week to build back up again.
I was probably reading more into it than required but I thought being in bed on an IV and losing fitness as a result was covered by the "physically" part of the comment. The bit about being ready to perform at that level implied to me other issues.

Who are we keeping out of Briggs, Marshall and Darcy?

Obviously Briggs out this week.
Darcy is going to plummet in price - but in the 8 games prior to the hamstring injury he was averaging 120.
Marshall been a little underwhelming this year albeit fairly consistent.

Briggs probably has to drop off at some stage? But he's got quite a lot of ways to score and he is also just great to watch.
I think if I decided to keep Briggs, I'd likely need to bring in Darcy Cameron for some cover as F6.
