3 trades left, full “premo”. $180.2k cash in bank.

Fake premos: Day, Steele.

Considering Cincotta to Himmelberg for a 23rd premo option. Bench coverage very thin, with only M Johnson mids and Cincotta def. I probably have to make the call on this trade this week, as a good game from Himmelberg/bad game from Cincotta may put this option out of reach.

Don’t have the cash to trade Steele to Petracca in 1 trade, otherwise would have considered…would be a 35ppg gain - 280pts across the last 8 games.

I have just noticed these two. More information would be great, but more importantly what is their job security like?
They could be great cover to the final.
Fogarty had a very good game but JS pretty poor, on the cards to be delisted end of the year. Will continue to play if he plays well, doesn’t impact the score board enough but adds tackling pressure, one bad game gone.

Cuningham class player with horrible injury history, adds speed and goal kicking, JS very good and when playing up the ground can score well, stuck forward not so much.

If I had to pick one it would be Cuningham but with not a lot of confidence he will finish the year through injury.

Very tempted to luxury upgrade one of Marshall / Briggs to English.

Just have no idea who goes.
I have those two too. I have 5 trades (and a boost!) after my trades this week. Tempted, but might just roll as I am until it falters.

Team complete and happy with finished team. 5 trades left.

With the extra trade considering a luxury Gawn to Darcy but Gawn could be handy if he gets DPP.. Any new data around Gawns forward time lately?

Are those 2 Carlton DPPs any good? Two nice score on the bubble..
Cunners is 100% Best 22 - all the talent in the world and offers something not many in our team can, but very big injury risk. Hence only played about 60 games in 8+ years. But can score when available.

Fogarty has been good since he came in, offering defensive pressure. However job security isnt that strong imo, but if he continues to perform he should remain in the team.
Both mature as well. Cunningham 26-27 and Fogs 24. Cunningham the bigger of the lads at 1.88m and his CBA’s went up from 14 to 21pct.

Thanks Gilly, thoughts helpful. Always prefer the bigger body player who is not as reliant on goals.

Ford + Johnston > Cuningham and Mills for me.

Leaves me needing one more upgrade (Wilmot at D6) with 4 trades in hand and 43k in the bank, not ideal. Luckily Wilmot went 120 on the weekend! Hoping Cuningham can stay fit and be a decent F7/M9 swingman.

Choosing to ignore the fact Steele and Day are in my team and will call it a year once upgraded with 2 in the bank to break in case of emergency.

4 trades left, is it worth going Rowell > Mills this week to be able to get Sheezel > Sicily next week.

Leaves me 2 trades for the run in, sweet FA cover.

Yeo to Himmelberg or Hurn?

Himmelberg doesn't seem to be an injury risk & frees up 90k for injury trade 'upgrades'

Hurn has a recent scoring history and could go huge from here out if he stays fit. Should see plenty of footy.

2 trades and $66.8k left.

No trades unless it's a $550k+ injury swing moving forward.

Team's finished.*

*Jeremy Cameron please get well soon.
*Patrick Cripps please wind the clock back to 2022.
*Nat Fyfe please wind the clock back to 2021.
*Zero ruck cover (I know the risk I took, why not when you're in the 20-30k rank range).
*Deplorable bench; Melican, Maric and Chesser fall back, and I can only pray that GC acknowledges Constable's existence.

I know I said I'd hold my 2 remaining trades for $550k injury swings moving forward, but I'm now holding Jezza and a looming Fyfe donut.

Could do Fyfe to Sheldrick because I'm 35k shy from Mills. But I'm thinking if I'm going to use my second last trade, get an actual premo.

Trading Sheezel and moving Maric to F6 gets me $535.6k and could land me:
DEF - Lloyd, Dale, Doch or Ziebell. Unfortunately 8k off Ryan.
MID - Walsh, Mills, or even Keays. Sadly 5k short for Tom Green.
FWD - nobody noteworthy.

Even after typing this all out, I'm more reluctant. Just feel like I'd get more bang for my buck if I wait it out a couple more weeks. No one in my reach screams must have.

sweet FA cover sounds bad. who will you have.

I dont think Rowell to Mills is much difference in performance, although it helps Sheezel upgrade. 2 trades for maybe 40 points per week. Ok without being significant.

Maric was a late in, how could you be contemplating F6. yes he scored well, shouldn't have been out of the team. Eagles are an ok side at home, horrible on the road. next week he could be 30.

Fyfe out has to happen. Do you go down to one of the carlton boys or to Hewett who has better JS. Leave a fair bit of cash which is tricky If a major premium goes out.

Have Johnson M8, Wardlaw M9

Can use 3 trades Johnson/Wardlaw/Ford to get Merrett/Cunningham and Dewar donut - leaves 2 trades and Mitchell/Maric as cover.

or Wardlaw/Ford to Mills/Dewar which leave Johnson M9, Mitchell D7 and Maric F7, with Mitchell able to swing forward (DC can cover rucks). Also leaves 100k/3 trades to upgrade Day/DC down the line.

What I should've made more clear, was that I would be moving Maric from my bench to F6 and have Fyfe and Jezza donuts sit on the bench.

A single Sheezel trade out lands the potential options I listed out above. Fyfe to Sheldrick is really the only decent option I'm considering. Have thought hard about Fyfe to Cuningham or L.Fogarty, just feels like wasting that crucial second last trade on moderate JS at best..

You’ve answered yourself 🤣
Hurn is 35, hasn’t played a full season since 2018. Its a risk, have to have trades up your sleeve, or good bench cover.
take HH for less money and use it somewhere else, he also D/F status.

Made some stupid plays and team looks average now

Will probably go Weddle to Mills at m8 for a while... Will have only 2 trades left and 230k. Team looks crap but at the moment that's all I can do. I mean could go up to 640k mid... But leaves cover of Johnson maric and Mitchell. Probably keep the 230k and see how it goes for now. Day, Young, Briggs and Cameron are the crap points.

It is what it is.
