Do they still count as a 'top pick' if they were basically let go by their original club for next to nothing? It's not like we've sold the farm to bring in Stephens, Stephenson, Logue, Bonar, Corr and CCJ, which is a third of that list. Not our problem if other teams used their first round draft picks on players they didn't want 
While I'd love it to be true, I don't think we'll jump up that quickly in 2024: most of those players are still young and need to build experience. Only 8 players on our list have played 100 games (the grand finalists this year had 15 and 19 respectively) and of all those players listed above, only Simpkin, Corr, McDonald and Logue are over 25.
This is a crucial draft for us. If we get it right, we'll have a really strong core of younger players that could be great in a few years. But I don't think you'll see that group win a whole lot of games when their average age is 22 or less.

I expect North will come good, but it might be a bit later than 2024. Going to take at least a year or two for Clarko to get the systems and positions set, not to mention the pre seasons needed.
