Interesting. They are willing to take a 33 yo injury prone ruckman that has limited ability around the ground (around the ground ability seems to be a requirement these days) and who has played 8 games in two seasons. Clearly at his best is a quality ruckman but can he get back to that. Would he be in the squad purely for "break glass in emergency" reasons or actually taking up one of the bench spots each game as the chop out (assuming five bench spots next season)? And if the latter is this Grundy 2.0? And does this mean anyone thinking Gawn would be back to single ruck next season and a lock as such, now needs to reassess?
