Been a while since watching good test cricket in Austalia. Hats off Pakistan.
Must admit I thought the doom and gloom around this Test summer was a bit weird. Sure, the Windies aren't going to offer much, but the idea that Pakistan were going to go the same way was always a bit misguided. There's been some incredible matches on the way to that 16-0 record or whatever it is.

That they're doing it without Shaheen is the real story. Jamal is an awesome find. Let's see if they can keep him on the park.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi FC Debut today

CricInfo has his age as 12y 284d

He himself says he is turning 14

Played for India U19 B team

@Balaji might know more
Yeah @Herbie66 . There is a controversy going on regarding his age..
Vaibhav, whose date of birth certificate was uploaded on X by a senior sports journalist, was born on March 27 2011, according to the certificate issued by the Registrar (Birth and Death) of Gram Panchayat, Tajpur in Samastipur District of Bihar in 2019. Means he’s 12.

However as you said In a video, Vaibhav said, "Abhi mera September 14 saal puerga, September 27 ko", which translates to, "I will turn 14 on September 27.

Fascinating to see what they do

Green 24 Tests , 1075 Runs @ 33.59 , 1 x 100 , 6 x 50

v

Bancroft 10 , 446 Runs @ 26.23 , 3 x 50
Harris 14 , 607 Runs @ 25.29 , 3 x 50
Renshaw 14 , 645 Runs @ 29.31 , 1 x 100 , 3 x 50

Surely they bring in a new opener and hope he established himself before Khawaja retires , will have the same issue as they have now

Green will just have to wait until the next opportunity opens up

2023/24

v West Indies 2
v New Zealand (A) 2

2024/25

v India 5
v Sri Lanka (A) 2

WTC Final
v West Indies (A) 2

2025/26

v England 5

Almost felt like the Ump didn't want to give Warner out when he was out LBW because he didn't want to be the one who gave Dave Warner out for the last time.
It was a bit of an anti-climax for Warner to not be there at the end of the match but at least Warner scored a 50 and got the Aussies home, a fitting hero's ending.
Not bad for a kid who was a slogger in T20 before he got his shot at test cricket, I remember when he came onto the scene, all he wanted to do was hit sixes, I was astounded when he got a chance to play Test Cricket but he changed and became a pretty good player.
Shame about the cheaty Mc-Cheaterface stuff that occurred but he still deserves the accolades from the time that he put in.
Never had a problem with the way in which he went about his work as an opener because as a grade cricket opener, I tried to always be an attacking opener myself. More fun and more runs that way, and less boredom
