To any hawks fans thoughts on amon? Does he boost his score playing of half back full time? Does he crack 100?
If you want a detailed analysis of Amon, this is a good video.

I am careful about posting rumours regarding players however I found this as posted on BF Bulldogs Pre Season thread yesterday. Decided to put this up given English is a key SC player. Apparently concussion symptoms can last for a year in some cases but I am not sure where, if it is concussion, he would have picked it up. Suggest this be taken with a pinch of salt for now but maybe a watch on this space.

This was mentioned on the news tonight, on Ch. 7 in Melbourne. I don't have Twitter/X, but the segment is probably posted on their page if someone could find the link to it. No specific details given about concussion symptoms, but they did mention he was dealing with a lingering medical issue.

Nice summary of Amon as you say although it runs for a while. Thanks for posting.

Just on Ryan Daniels. He is usually reliable and one of the few journos you can usually believe. However it would be interesting to know what his source thinks the definition of "recently" is. Below is a list of various track watcher comments from BF going back to Dec 1. I guess they could have had a closed session somewhere and he picked up a knock. No doubt all will be revealed as we get closer to the season.

Dec 1 Of those mainly running laps, completing non-physical tasks included: Liberatore, Johannisen, Treloar, English, Arty Jones, Weightman, Clarke, Bramble, O'Driscoll and Cleary.

Dec 11 Darcy looking bigger. Put some muscle on. Played ruck against Lobb (English ran laps) in match sim. Didn’t look out of place although Lobb probably finished on top.

Dec 18 Tim English continues to run solo laps, without partaking in the ball or drills with the main group. His torso is enormous now and resembles Mr Strong from the Mr. Men collection with perfectly square shoulders. He is moving well, really pushing himself and no obvious signs of carrying any sort of injury concern.

Dec 21 In blustery conditions, we played an Intra Club Match Simulation, with 3 X 15-minute periods, followed by some skills drills and running. Those who did not play included Timmy English who ran rapid laps, as he has done all pre-season. He looks fit and strong, but I am concerned at his lack of match-play.

Jan 12 Unless my eyes were deceiving me, English did not train nor did Richards or Keath. Others may confirm.

And then later on Friday Jan 12 the speculation started about concussion.

Some info in these predicted teams is misguiding e.g. A few predicted teams I've seen for Swans keep putting Mills in the side yet he's confirmed to miss a fair chunk of the season after injuring his rotator cuff in his shoulder at the end of season players get together?

I do not think Sydney have established a timeline for an expected recovery or provided an update since and the initial reports from Tom Morris seem to be wildly inaccurate.

Might still give it a go, but might not join any leagues this season, missing a lot of the start of the season so going to be hard for me to be able to gauge rookies. Fortunately there's some great resources and coaches on here, hopefully if I do play I don't fall victim to too many late outs. o_O
Massive respect to people play from outside Australia, takes a lot of dedication to be able to do that.

Hope I'm understanding this correctly but why are these allegations taken to the the AFL?
Go to the police if there is a crime.
And why are the AFL getting involved? Who do they think they are that they can handle domestic violence cases rather than the police.

Presupposes police are not involved and the AFL are dealing with the allegations in lieu of the criminal justice system

If a charge is made against a player then they are risk of being put on hold as a player. Given prior rap, if further allegations are going to be made, AFL will suspend him I expect. The innocent to proven guilt is not going to apply here, particularly on a sensitive allegation such as this.

Sometimes police action will take time, AFL may look to be prepared if a charge is made.

Assume LDU is unavailable for the season and Thomas returns from suspension Rd 5 and goes 145, 151 first two games.

$504k, mid only.

Do you grab him?
