I've just learnt how to highlight the active row. Go on, make fun of me.
Why does excel differentiate between a standard sheet and a macro enabled sheet when you save it? And is there something I should know about this difference? i.e. storage, processing power etc.
I don't use the computer a lot so I can't imagine it's a big issue for my computer.

That’s a fair leap from highlighting the active row to asking about macros.

There are probably technical reasons to differentiate between these type of files but it is not really a big deal from a user perspective. An .xlsm file has a bit of an overhead in regard to security which can be a bit confusing so that is totally avoided in an .xlsx file which is probably the only one used by the vast majority. Nothing really to be concerned about.
