Oddly they are updating ever so slightly. Heeney was 2.7% on Thursday night and, despite a 144, has actually dropped to 2.6%!

Obviously not accurate but clearly some significant platform issues.
Pretty sure that’s because the ownership numbers are staying the same but the amount of people signing up to play SC are increasing.

I think I'm going to fade Coffield.

Anyone else got worries about the doggies?
Bailey Dale is listed as a test - but given that Bramble and Coffield are in, presumably as HBs, it makes me think that Dale might miss round 1. So he could be round 2. And surely we think Caleb Daniel is too good for VFL?

If Daniel isn't picked in the 23, then surely he finds his way back in sometime soon? Is it Coffield that makes way?

Is this a case of Bevo strikes again to ruin our best laid supercoach plans...

Dale may even play wing/forward with him doing it a little in practice.

That's not exactly what I wanted to hear Horse ....
Heeney looks safe to play the Mid role before his Rd 5 Bye, as Adams, Parker and Sheldrick are out for the next 3-4 weeks (Mills 12 weeks). Maybe side trade him then?

Adams is over 30 now, could miss a number of games this year. Parker is over 31, but has a good record not being injured.

If Logan McDonald, Hayden McLean and Joel Amartey can be a force up forward, then Heeney won't be needed up there so often, if.

Not sure now if Heeney is worth keeping in my team, I dropped N Martin for him, maybe swap him back is the safe move?

Heartbreak for Swans recruit Taylor Adams as horror injury run continues
"........Adams has had a horror run with injuries.........missed out on the Magpies' four-point grand final victory over Brisbane due to a hamstring injury........New Sydney recruit Taylor Adams has faced another bout of bad luck, being ruled out for up to four weeks with a medial ligament strain in his left knee........."

Heeney and Jackson will be very interesting in the first part of the season. Should see strong scoring for the first 4-5 games due to injuries, but then might be a regression post that if their roles revert to something closer to last year.
Opportunity to be aggressive and try to trade then at their peak, but if they then maintain keeper level scoring (noting the lower bar for forwards) you will feel the fool trying to get them back in.

Personally I think I’ll start them both and only jump off if there is significant issues or scoring is nowhere near keeper level.
Outside of Macrae and Flanders, I don’t think I see any other obvious top 6 forwards. Allowing for at least 2 DPP additions, that would still be a forward line of Macrae, Jackson, Flanders, Heeney + DPP x2. Obvious a lot can happen and there may be some bolters, but they seem the standout candidates atm.

If Jackson drops below Keeper level, he still may be useful as a Ruck replacement, for when the Rucks have a Bye or a short term injury (assuming Livingstone is on your Ruck bench). And even if he drops below Keeper level, as you said, he may still be a top 6 Forward anyway.

With Heeney I'm not so sure, if he drops below Keeper scores, he might still be a top 6 Forward anyway, but I don't like his Round 5 Bye that he shares with Grundy and Daicos.
If one doesn't start with Heeney, then you won't feel foolish, as Heeney's money is being used elsewhere on a player like N. Martin, who should be making money too.

Just be careful if viewing players like Martin (in the mid and upper $400k range) as money makers, as it is of little importance unless you plan to trade him, given the points production you would be receiving (if he is to make significant cash).

The issue with sideways trading keepers early in the season is that automatically you’re potentially dropping a keeper behind those that run with keepers without the early bye. Could be 40-50 points or more difference a round just there
You could trade Jackson & Heeney to Flanders & Touk post-early bye in Round 4 before upgrade season.

Yeah it’s a very fair point. Although if Heeney goes 100+ in rounds 2 and 3, it’ll be hard for non owners knowing he’s about to have a bye so you can’t really bring him in. If he flops though, he’s an easy trade out with his bye as extra justification.

Will you start Jackson if Reidy is named?

Will you start Jackson if Reidy is named?
Been grappling with that one but I’m leaning towards no.
Darcy listed as around 4 weeks so there’s a limited window for Jackson to solo ruck and really get some solid points on the board. My issue with Reidy is he isn’t really someone who will make an impact up forward so if they name him, they’re filling their hand that Jackson will likely lose some ruck minutes. But I’ll need to see the overall team because Reidy could also be a prime sub candidate which could fix the issue.

Probably the 1% factor that’s tipping me towards no though is the reports of back tightness. If Reidy isn’t named then I’ll believe he’s no biggy, but if Reidy is named then it could mean there is more smoke than they’ve let on.

I think ownership % have updated, Howes over 30% and Heeney up to 16% are two solid changes I’ve noticed. Plus Naismith over 40% now. I can’t remember heaps of other players but my team breakdown has definitely changed up in popularity.
Yep it's been updated. Some relevant round 0 players over 10%:

Daicos 76.6% (wow)
Grundy 69.2% (big increase)
Zac Williams 57.7%
Sexton 57.6%
Jordon 53.6%
Max 50.7% (dropped a bit)
Naismith 43.8% (should change if not named)
Green 40.3% (big increase)
Windsor 39%
Flanders 35.4% (he's back)
Howes 30.9%
Gulden 27.2% (dropped from over 40)
Touk 23.7%
Trac 19.5%
Heeney 16.7% (up from 2.7%, jump on)
