I think we are better off just naming your best side, and who your next 2 or 3 options are each line.. it just defaults to next in line?

I’d probably be happy with this approach as well to be honest, similar to how we handle the mid-year bye rounds crossover.

I think you can just do a note that Rowbottom comes in if any of your R1 mids aren’t named unexpectedly.

My current thinking is teams should pick their best team before the opening game on Thursday, including C and VC. Leave C and VC and delete non AFL Round Zero players, other than C and VC.

When AFL Round 1 teams are named, finalise SCSUL Round 1. Teams are not allowed to name a non named player in order to take an emergency score from AFL Round Zero.

Did we land on a consencus to navigate this mine field the AFL have thrown?

I have done via comments at this stage, however will change approach if we go with the above.

May not get to look at it after tomorrow, so keen to get a landing position.

I’ve tried to enter my team as best I can, and have specified a method for determining the next player in (where permissible), rather than a list per se. I hope that’s okay - I actually hadn’t realised how close we are to real footy again!

Gents - just a heads up that I’m not able to select my new draftees on my round 1 team sheet.

I think it may be because column F in the 2024 sheet is showing AFL teams, rather than SC positions.

Colby McKercher is now expected to come straight in for his debut for The Darkness, so I have added a comment to this effect.

Round 1 AFL is a clean Round 2 SCSUL. So you will just pick King in your 22.

Thanks - I totally missed this.

It looks like the R1 teams haven’t carried over - at this stage I plan to field the same side and have made a comment to that effect. I will populate the dropdown cells when I can.

As per last season, selected teams carry over from round to round provided Teams verify their selections before lockout on Friday night.

I did the same thing (not verify), I wait for final selection to verify team, half my team still haven't been selected for game! Obviously with split rounds, that made it weeks later.. new curve ball!
