Unlikely that Howes plays on Lobb.

May, Tomlinson and Lever likely to match up against JUH, Naughton and Lobb.
How do you think Tomlinson out impacts now?
Hore in, is a coin flip between him and Howes for who plays 3rd tall?

Very keen on Hore, think I flick Coffield for him, but will probably grab Coffield next week for Gibcus anyways.

You are a true supercoacher!
I was trying to fit in Hore and somehow changed to 3 players I had never considered! 🤔
I was so close to trading gibcus to hore. (I actually feel really sorry for gibcus. That looked like a terrible injury)

Vaguely thinking of just doing fyfe to Dempsey and piffing hewett nexr week for a proper premium. (Hewett is fine but looks more a 95-100 player than 110.)

I think Hore is a bigger chance of playing as a key defender than Howes.

Hard to tell with the changes though..

Yes, he will, maybe someone they throw at Rowell?

But with a forward line of Keays, Rankine, Rachele, Burgess, Fogarty and Gollant + Pedlar & Murphy off the bench - it should see Berry play a similar role to the pre season game. Whether the scoring comes with that remains to be seen but he'll get solid midfield minutes I think (Rankine, Rachele, Pedlar could all run through the midfield also).

Murphy should probably be the sub but it wouldn't surprise me if it's Soligo.
This Berry thing concerns me moving forward as a potential Crouch owner.
Was hoping Crouch would lift his TOG% up to around 75 (from currently 68%) (seems about norm for other one dimensional inside mids)
I saw mentioned on the BF boards that Berry after a good game was likely to come in, also because GC have a strong inside midfield and Adelaide might need the extra grunt which has all come true.
He is also out of contract this year isn't he? Think Adelaide will pump some games into him or it's just a match up thing is week vs GC?

It's got to be a concern with all the mouths to feed in the crows midfield?
Dawson, Laird and now Crouch, Berry and then the talk of Rankine, maybe Rachelle as well running through for CBA's.
Laird suggested to have some forward minutes which would've been a good thing for Crouch I felt, but now Berry is in the mix.
Crouch spends time on the pine between runs, so thinking its a watch this space with Berry in tbh.

Just Gibcus last night, poor kid. 1/19

Watching last night, William's tank doesn't look the best, but if you've got him that should get better if he stays fit.
McKay's role looked good and he seems in decent nick, might be a Travis Cloke style start to the season on offer.
At least Gibcus can be downgraded at his price and there's lots of defensive rooks about, unless you've gone in very light in defense.
Got a few playing tonight, will be more interesting.

I know people are locked into their teams but I've barely settled on anything

Already getting cold feet on Sheezel, looks like a lot more midfield time with no Simpkin/Phillips Round 1, I expect Scott will play more defence (McKercher Pink Corr Goater Dawson Fisher definitely the other 6 defenders) with Tucker/Stephens/Shiels on the wing. Sheezel may well play 50%+ CBA's this week. Could argue that he could score more as a mid but I don't like it.

Really will just settle on my Sydney/Collingwood picks tonight and lock in most of everything else tomorrow. Grundy & Roberts firmly in my team, I think I will reluctantly pick Heeney and worry about what to do with him come his bye. No Daicos for me, may be a little scary watching him run around with the VC on for a lot of teams. o_O

So, the next 30 minutes or so is Jordon study

I imagine it to be similar to GC numbers in round 0. Dawson, Laird, Crouch similar game time to Rowell, Anderson and Miller. Berry like Flanders at 50% odd and then other guys much lower, float in depending on how things are going.

I don't believe the selection to be match up dependant as Adelaide typically don't roll like that. It's off strong form and his spot purely depends on how he plays.

If anything, Crouch return has me worried on someone I've had locked in my team the entire pre season until a couple of days ago in Dawson. He's the most capable of filling other roles and scoring did drop in the final 5 odd games when Crouch returned. I'm sure I'll regret the swap in DT but I've gone to Laird instead - as per above when talking about Berry getting mid time, Laird won't be in the forward line.

Role is there for Williams, not really that surprising he faded out after virtually no footy for a year. Will only get better and build on that. Not the end of the world passing on Carroll, thought he was a chance at being subbed out like most. Will correct to him after the bye. Devastating for Gibcus, fortunately had him on the bench. Will look to loop the defender rookies for now and assess whether he needs correcting later.

Hoping everyone has a better round than tonight, good to have SuperCoach back.
Who would you be trading to carroll given gibcus is in defense (or have you currently got a Daicos type in your midfield)? Sideways trading a midfield rookie to carroll seems a huge waste of a trade especially considering i assume all of your current midfield rookies are named to play in rnd1 and unless one of them are dropped after less than 3 games would also be on the bubble for rnd 3. Yes carrol has started very well, but he is still a massive sub candidate IMO and Walsh is due back.

I have absolutely no idea how to fit Carroll in, pretty hard to make any plans and stick to them after just the one game. Other rookies will pop up that may be just as good if not better than Carroll. I passed for the reasons you stated and that I could still pick him up after his bye if needed.

If you're not going Sheezel, does that open up a slot for Daicos?

'Only' $100k more and you're getting a guy who looks for all the world like a 120+ player. Not just because he's talented (sure), but because his teammates just feed him the ball over and over so he can use his skills to set up play. It's like the coach has said 'if you can't see a good option forward, just give it to Nick and he'll make something happen'.

If I bailed on Sheezel, I'd probably go another defender rookie (so many!) & grab a midfield premium instead.

Unfortunately I don't love the mid prems either.

Next to no interest in Daicos to be honest, the pre-bye schedule doesn't look great to me. Understand he's a big negative POD, but don't really care
Definitely will be looking to grab him at Round 8-9 or so.
