Thiis week we have the continuation of SCSUL Round 5, as well as the start of SCSUL Round 6. Round 6 begins with Melbourne on Thursday night, so teams need to be in before the beginning of the game.
Thanks Ken - can I confirm please, are we able to make changes to our R5 sides for those who have not locked out?

Given the two weeks between rounds, I think it is reasonable to allow some changes. Obviously, can't do loopholes, and by extension, bypass your emergencies.

Agree Charlie Comben making a strong late case for number 1 ruck Ken (can it continue!)
I had Charlie Comben locked in to my SC team before his set back late in the preseason. So, I think he is a legit option for around an 80-85 average.

Thank you, this makes sense.

Certainly happy to not use any loopholes etc (and I think there may be other ways to guard against this if we ever wish to do so), just trying to get a sensible 22 on the field!

Comben has gone from R4 to R2 in a week, Blicavs is now a mid for me.

With Pendles/Wood/Doc all out now, my midfield has been smashed.

I suspect I can move Blic to mids, however in spirit of game I should use Ramsden as R2 as he was originally listed as emergency (only because he was in the AFL squad at the time, would have put Comben if both playing).

If your emergency has already played you cannot bypass them. For example, The Darkness has had Quaynor already play. They can't just pick another DEF to not take his score.

If your fielded players and emergencies haven't played, then they are able to be shifted around/re-selected.

Now I am confused. If Darcy is named this week (which I wasn’t expecting two rounds ago) does that mean I can’t bring him on in place of Treacy at R2 because I had McLean as emergency?
Darcy is a FWD only, so he can't replace Treacy at R2.

Okay. You would have to use Hayden before Darcy, as Darcy could have been named as the original R2 or emergency with Hayden sitting beneath him in the ranking order.
It seems a bit ridiculous that a player who is in the top 2-3 players in a team can’t be picked if he is named, but happy to cop the rules accordingly. He may not get named anyway, so it may not be an issue. I’ll be glad when these split rounds are over because they have confused the hell out of me. I think I might have last place locked in this year!

Since we are playing against each other in SCSUL Round 5, I have asked Tim to have a look at the situation and determine whether it is fair and reasonable for all teams, and thus, our match up.

Don’t change things for me, I am happy to abide by the rulings and leave Darcy out (if named).
