Parnell subluxed a shoulder against Melbourne and was able to play out the game, but he will now have a stint on the sidelines as the Crows weight up treatment options, one of which involves surgery. The Crows said he had experienced issues with the shoulder through the pre-season. In a massive blow, important defender Ridley will be sidelined for another extended period after a recurrence of his quad injury. Switkowski played through a calf complaint against Carlton and the Dockers are positive about his prospects of facing Port Adelaide on Saturday night. Zach Reid was listed as 3 weeks last week so would have expected him to now be 2 weeks. But this week he's listed as 3-4 weeks.

I've held him this far but I think he might be a trade now.
Last week was the last chance to get rid of him IMO.

Why waste a trade doing a sideways for almost no profit when you could generate 123K doing Howes to Clohesy instead now?

Spot on. Better to hold Reid. At the very least he can be used for DEF emergency loopholes until his return (obviously not as significant for the next two best 18 rounds). Given the propensity of the DEF rookies to put up the odd big score, that's where you want to have the loophole option.
