I wrote about Andrew last week being an option. No one wanted to talk about it much. I've seen 3 games of his 1 live 2 ground. Passed the eye test as being solid, but not uber premium. Good creativity and importantly skill execution. He doesn't have that Sheezel / Dacois all my team mates want to give it to me feel.

Walsh has at least done a mini preseason by the looks. I think there is a risk that Pitto goes out of the side and Carltons clearances go down, forward 50 pressure goes up, capping some of Walsh's scoring. Along with the injury risk, it's now or never on both.

Considered waiting on Petracca?
We'll see how Walsh fares with Cerra back in too. I doubt it'll influence his scoring that much but his injury history scares me. From here I reckon Walsh & Tracc score similarly, although I'm happy to spend 50k more for the peace of mind of Tracc's injury insurance if there can be such a thing.

Regarding Andrew, I'm taking the punt. Helps to get an Ambrosio or Zilliams off field who have been a rollercoaster so far. I'll take slightly sub premo scoring from Andrew from here until his bye before I need to make another decision on him.

Happy with Round 7 trade preparations

Sharp - > Walsh gives me $ 280,200.00 to play with moving forward

Next 3 trades pencilled in (need a $ 218,400.00 swing on current prices in my favour) will be :-

D'Ambrosio/Meek - > Sicily
Meek/D'Ambrosio - > Stewart
Roberts - > Green (tbc)

Obviously will take a rookie downgrade if it presents to be able to target better performing premiums.

Will leave Clohesy , Comben , Graham & H Reid (possible F6 keeper) to be upgraded

A lot can change though
Waste of time planning/thinking.

Didn't even start and need to make a change , McAuliffe to ? (maybe Tunstill instead)

looks like anyone doing a double downgrade would need to go biggie/hugo garcia(depends on who you went for last week) and then go early on riley garcia i guess?

slim pickings

So far just the one trade of Hore to Hugo, really thought with Hore available and Melbourne’s defence issues it’s now or never for him, looks like it’s never, the problem now is I’ll have to use a boost if I want someone meaningful not just a fill in, think I’ll see how teams pan out Thursday.

Have two very different ideas for trades this week...

OPTION 1: Massimo, Williams & Sanders -> Dale, Bowes & Garcia

OPTION 2: Sanders, Williams & Carroll -> Walsh/Petracca, Garcia & other rookie (Tunstill??)

Obviously, 2 is a more common/safer strategy for trades this week (especially getting rid of Carroll over Massimo), but there is a lot of appeal in option 1 with two underpriced defenders that could help with both cash gen + potential scoring! Keen to hear thoughts from you all

Went early on Hugo, will probably do something like
Cadman>Nyuon and Williams>Walsh, hoping for another rookie to come along so I can get rid of Clark as well.

I don't like option 1, brought in Bowes 2 weeks ago as a stepping stone, that ship might have sailed as i don't see him being a keeper, Dale is the same with better options available.

Can you do 2 trades and get Walsh? Save a boost, seems like you're forcing things.

Sadly I can only get Walsh with the boost.

Pretty easy trades for me this round…

Out goes: Williams & Sharp
In Comes: Houston & Garcia

Went early last week on Walsh (y) but also McCaullife (loop hole purposes) (n)

Leaves me with no money but a solid starting line up.

Next weeks potential moves!!!
Out: S. Campbell, H. Thomas, Darcy
In: Garcia, Naismith!? & Oliver

Have completely changed my plans with McAuliffe out. I'm going to trust my gut and see what happens.

D'Ambrosio, Williams and Sharp out to Andrew, Garcia and Xerri. Leaves me looking like below.

I think Andrew looks the goods. They've got a player. Screenshot_20240423_193823_Chrome.jpg
