Currently have made one trade this round so far which is Powell --> Sweet. 280k cash in bank and 24 trades left. 2 boosts available.
Not sure which way to go for my other moves. Upgrading the defence is what I'm targeting this week.

Option 1: Comben to N.Martin (would leave zero cash).

Option 2: Grundy and Sharp to N.Martin and D.Houston (not keen on this but would consider it only if Sweet does really well again).

Looking for other options which can help make the team better. Cheers!

Will be interesting for those relying on 2-3 GC rookies on field. In a perfect storm they could be badly caught out!
Rogers has only played two games so won't be rested for some time - Walter coming up for 5th game but will play against Lions for sure - then a possible rest. Graham has played three and Reid three - so if they're rested I'd say it'd be graduated with only one missing per round. Should be manageable BUT no-one has all four in any case (I'd be amazed if they did). Forgot Clohesy - might get a rest after Lions game and with Darwin games approaching makes sense.

Good flag, thank you. I read it as Rogers being a heightened sub risk, but equally he could be rested.
David Swallow is effectivly the permanent Sub for the Suns - probably get a full game evrry now and then but he's doing the team thing and providing an almost perfect Sub option being able to play all over the ground - and in twilight years. Dimma will play the kids as much as possible.

You never know.. bye isn't until round 14 so might take the chance to rest them, either with a game off or as the sub/subbed off. Might not happen but wouldn't surprise me.

Clubs usually only use the same sub for 3-4 weeks before they get either a full game or are dropped for a full game in the 2s. Otherwise it just erodes too much of their fitness base.

Currently playing around with this bit of madness...

Struggling to split Dawson and Laird, so why not both? Cash is tight to can't do it with Rogers or Garcia. But don't mind the idea of getting in a def/mid donut that I can use to help with my VC/C loops as well as moving my many many DPP guys around as needed. Carries risk as I still have Reid, Clark and Livingstone who aren't playing, but hopefully Reid is back soon and Clarke can be switched at some point to a good bench rookie. So end game should be just the 2 dedicated donuts which feels manageable given the flexibility it unlocks.

Darcy has hawks & tigers next 2, think he is a decent F5/F6 for now - would not be trading him

Which is pretty much what I said - he'll get a game in either 2s or the seniors for a week and then back to the Sub role. Could be as early as this week but Rogers won't be the Sub after getting the Rising Star award.

It's something I've been toying with too, could be handy over the rest of this tranche of best 22 rounds. You mentioned a Def/Mid FD but Rowlands is Fwd/Mid, I think that a Def/Mid could work better especially if your loops involve the 2 GCS boys but a GCS FD wouldn't help. Just my 2c and I'm possibly off with my thinking.

I've got 1 upgrade (Sweet) and 3 luxury upgrades (Bowes, Crouch and Drew) to manage over the MBR's and I'm not sure that I'll have enough rookies present to facilitate those moves. I'm going to hold fire until then and if needed will bring in 1 or possibly 2 FD's.

You're right, and when I went to look at why I had a mid/fwd I realised it was probably because I'm $200 short of the cheapest def/mid DPP options. So now I need to rethink this plan.. love the 2 upgrades but not worth forcing it with the wrong DPP donut. Back to the drawing board..

Very much team reliant I think, he'll be gone for me next week as he's just sitting on the forward bench with Reid at F6 plus no ability to loop, Wilson is good enough coverage. His sale then gives me the funds to upgrade Williams to an uber mid. Of course if he pulls out a big score against the Hawks then I'll re evaluate.

Maybe the Fwd/Mid FD gives you as much flexibility?

It is still handy with how I float Wilson and Garcia around, plus if I need to move Heeney, Flanders or Macrae to the mids. Suns play last in 2/4 bye rounds and then have the bye on another, so is quite handy with being able to move players around even if I wouldn't be using him for VC/C loops (rather use a bye player for those if I can!). Definitely still a possibility..
