Really thought Cadman had a chance to get to 100 after that first half. Giants disposal into their 50 this qrt has been under 8 level.

Glad I didn't trade Grundy at least. Shame it doesn't matter because I have Rozee and Green already killing my score.

Traded in Rogers. 441k in the bank. Tempted to trade him into Dale to try recover some points.

Wasn't suggesting this was a great outcome, but on average his game is fine. In the last 4-5 years he's averaged maybe 4 games <100 every year.

Bontompelli, who has without doubt been the gold standard for midfield consistency for this period, has still thrown in at least 1 below 90 every year. (Already a 73 this year). It happens to everyone. Tom Green is the flavour of 2024 and has 2 * <85 in the last 3 etc. If Walsh throws in a couple in the 90s, that's just the reality of life I reckon. We have very high standards, but everyone has poor games. Hopefully 90ish is Walsh's floor. That would be fantastic.

Edit:posted before I realised the Green situation. Eeek.

Analysis done by @Rowsus a few years ago now showed that a player with a 110 ave usually scored across a season

1 score 66 or less
1 score 66-77
2 scores 77-88
3 scores 88-99
4 scores 99-110
4 scores 110-121
3 scores 121-132
2 scores 132-143
1 score 143-154
1 score 154-220

That was across 5 or 6 seasons and over 1700 games, so a reasonable sample size for back then but times may have changed since.

I think with the Green injury I’ll reluctantly hold Steele and hope for a turn around. If trades allow down the stretch I’ll luxury upgrade him but I don’t want to use 2 trades sideways premiums when I could be focusing on upgrading. If Green has to go so be it, but trading both seems wasteful.

Unfortunately we are no better off trading Green or continuing to upgrade around him.
Terrible time of the season for this to happen :(

In a similar situation. Could reverse a Steele > Bont trade. I just think the Green injury isn’t too serious (on gut feel and the way it was handled) and it doesn’t change my theory that I’ll be trading Steele at some point, so might as well trade now.

I’d be wrapped if it’s not serious. Let’s hope so!

Grundy the one good story out of this, Blakey, Roberts and Jordon all bad!

Awful timing for sure! And worse for those with Rozee as well.
For me, the option was to use a boost on Steele (having done 2 trades already) but I think I’d rather use that boost instead next round trading Green and still doing 1 up and 1 down. If I boost this week and next I’ve got none left, and think on the balance, using my last 2 boosts to sideways premiums isn’t the smartest move. 1 on a long term injury yes (if it turns out that way, I have no information so just speculating) but Steele was dominating before thus slump and he could get back there at some point.
Cash gen is looking good so I can always invest in upgrading Steele later if it comes to it..
