Serong, Jackson, Clark, Bont, Moore, Flanders, Andrew, Clohesy & Graham still to come. C on Bont but considering Serong.

2200 is wishful thinking & will need the premos to fire. Need new trade-in Bont to match Grundy's score, considering I traded out Grundy this week to get Sweet in. Moving the C off him to Serong should help Bont's score

Awful round with yeo, a new to the team tom green, roberts, reid and a bunch of underperoming premos.
Only way I can access Wilson on the bench is if I trade out R Garcia for a mid donut via flanders. Any good suggestions for someone who might be playing in the next couple weeks? Mcauliffe looking an option

New recruit Zerrett fired in the second half to bring in a reasonable first up score…

not taking Gawn VC of 111…already wearing 5 from Green.
Serong, Ryan, Jackson,Fyfe, Bont, Flanders, Clohesy, Graham, Darcy and Khamis to come.
If we can get to 2250 from this disaster of a week I will take it.

Played: I Rankine, Z Butters, S Walsh (VC), N Daicos, I Heeney, M Roberts, B Grundy, T Green, J Steele, D Wilson, C Comben and H Sheezel
Yet to play:
Saturday: M Gawn (C), T Stewart, H Reid and N Martin
Sunday: N Fyfe, H Young, M Bontempelli, S Darcy, S Clohesy and T Miller

D Wilson fantastic and great to see Steele back to scoring tons. Was hoping Comben would push the 80+ range with the matchup but unfortunately did not and joins Roberts and Dempsey on the chopping block.

Petracca auditioning to be the midfield premium traded in next round but the temptation of Oliver could be too great if he posts 5+ tackles and marks tonight.

Great return by Stewart after a week off and look on track for a solid 2200 in a tough round. Considered Parish and Oliver (along with D Moore) when I was very close on trading Roberts due to the expected poor weather and thus poor disposal and kicking efficiency (was high eighties and low nineties for the season prior to the match) so a bit disappointing to see them both come out and score 140+. Could grab both next round to “finish” my midfield but is at the expense of Jones and downgrading Rogers to Simpson.

13/1301 Gawn.
Traded Green in this week, you get these every year, first one!
Wilson on ground thanks to advice on here.
Decided to keep Xerri (y) and run with Sweet at R3 (traded in last week)
Need Zorko back in his lucrative role today.
Kept Clark, so his cash gen could get moving again.
Howes on bench with E, so will run with the GC lads on field.
If I get to my projection of 2183 will be happy enough this round.

13/1118 vc Walsh, c Oliver not reflected in my score. 🤔

I was busy Thursday and missed the Mead sub, so had him onfield for 10, Georgiades 37, Green 5, Yeo injury to deal with too. Hopefully Sunday will be kinder?

The captain doesn’t show as a double score on your team page. Go to Gameday and you will see it is there.

Super coach is such a funny game.
My Round was over on Thurs with Rozee injured, Laird and Dawson scoring 90's

I don't have Green (it was him or Dawson as my upgrade this week), and fast forward 2 days and I'm a chance to win all of my league matches

Gutsy call putting the C on Oliver Jim, at least that went well for you this week.

15/1439 VC Green C Gawn
Also copped Robert’s onfield
Yeo as well but feel I may hold him a week and see where things fall. Post #908 shows Simpson saying it’s a 50/50 so we wait!
Had him from the start and always expected him to fall over so no worries either way!
Wilson onfield with Windsor E in the mids.
To take his score would need to trade Massimo for a non playing rookie from today but that could be dangerous going forward, would be using my third boost to make that happen.
Was for Steele > Moore but after Green went down I reversed that to save it, and now thinking of throwing it out for a score of 118🤔
Ryan, Jackson, Bont, Touk, Flanders with 2 rookies to play. It’s either the 2 GCS boys or 1 plus a non playing rook to claim Windsor to onfield, anyone care suggest best foot forward here?

I'd save the boost mate, not worth trading just for one score, especially to a dead rookie.

33 touches for 91 points is a good SC game to you? I've owned Walsh before and he often doesn't score as well as his stats suggest he should. He picks up a lot of meaningless touches.
It was mostly a Carlton thing last night

They had 4 players above 30 disposals.

Newman 32 (148 SC)
Hewett 30 (98 SC)
Acres 32 (95 SC)
Walsh 33 (91 SC)
Wasn't suggesting this was a great outcome, but on average his game is fine. In the last 4-5 years he's averaged maybe 4 games <100 every year.

Bontompelli, who has without doubt been the gold standard for midfield consistency for this period, has still thrown in at least 1 below 90 every year. (Already a 73 this year). It happens to everyone. Tom Green is the flavour of 2024 and has 2 * <85 in the last 3 etc. If Walsh throws in a couple in the 90s, that's just the reality of life I reckon. We have very high standards, but everyone has poor games. Hopefully 90ish is Walsh's floor. That would be fantastic.

Edit:posted before I realised the Green situation. Eeek.
As I said, I've owned Walsh before and I've seen him have plenty of games that should be 125+ that end up being 100-110 (specifically last year).. He often doesn't maximise scoring from his touches the way other premium midfielders do. He handballs a lot and is usually good for a couple of clanger kicks under no pressure each game. Not saying he's a bad pick or anything, just maybe not a must-have SC player.
Macrae made a very pointed comment after the game. When a team starts kicking the ball around you can tell they don't like pressure!
Walsh played a bit behind the stoppage and had quite a few dump kicks down the line.
