I understand Clarkson is one of the best coaches, but some questions on his selection and positional set up.

Why would yuo name pink as SUB..... why would you move your best distributer to a different role into the midfield when ihis best quality (kick) is removed.

Clarkson selection is all over the place from week to week, how can you build a future when your selections and team structure totally change every 2 weeks.

What on earth is going on at North, its been over a decade now and still the bottom dwellers of the Comp.

Just waiting for a game they shouldn't possibly win, like the GC game last year, for things to click mate. Be patient.

Yep, I'd like to second the Tom Green hate. I traded him in today. I've now had 10 occasions in 8 rounds where a player of mine has been the injury sub.
Might as well throw darts at a board to pick a supercoach team.
Walsh has been a jerk since I traded him in.
Also started Rozee and LDU who are having their worst seasons in years, when they are supposed to be in their prime.

This game can **** right off
🤬🤬🤬
Add Yeo to the injury list

Maybe I'm the only one, but the structure of this game has really begun to suck because it doesn't align well enough with the rule changes the AFL have made over the last few years.

We are constantly hamstrung by Sunday extended benches and the fact that subs are listed 1 hour before the game. This means that you need to monitor the team lineups like a hawk on BOTH Saturday and Sunday. The worst part is, the extended bench (which is finalised to 5 players on Saturday), doesn't even mean that one of those 5 will be sub. ANYONE can be named sub, regardless if they are on the interchange or the field. So the player you thought was safe because they were named on field, no longer is.

Fyfe is a great example of this today. Out of nowhere, he was named sub. There were only two other games after the Freo/Richmond game, meaning that you either: (a) Suck it up and take his score which will now reset his price cycle negatively OR (b) Trade him to a very limited number of options (with no clear indicators what players are remotely F6 this year).

Not only is it already difficult playing around coaching RNG and who will be named sub, but we have eight bye rounds to play through for the entire year. For 1/3rd of the season, we are researching and picking players that align better with the byes because missing one game can be the difference between anywhere from 0-120 points or a league win.

Supercoach no longer have their KFC sponsorship, which means there is really no incentive to play for top 1011 anymore. They are still profiting off Supercoach Gold members and I fear they will do nothing to address the one rule that is absolutely killing the game (for me).

I realise it is more of an AFL issue and resolving it is very nuanced, but there has to be some system to save players constant tinkering and headaches for things largely out of their control. A scoring multiplier for subs or the ability to bring in a rookie as a one game replacement or something.

Just very frustrating.

Just found this thread, amazing i love a rant. It might seem weird to rant about Dawson this week given his epic score, but my rant is more around the coach. Why oh why does he insist on playing him forward. Dawson is elite in the midfield and has also shown he is elite at half back and on a wing in prior years. So far he has shown very little up forward. Once every 4 weeks he takes a nice contested grab and kicks a goal...... If you want to get Ranks and Soligo into the mids play Dawson of half back or on the wing!!! If you think you need another fwd play Burgess, because as a pure fwd he is 10 times better than Dawson. Dawson the forward never seems to want to take a mark on the lead, he always just wants to take a contested grab inside 50!!! Even the last qtr last night Dawson was playing fwd the first 3 x centre bounces all 3 won by Brissy who kick 3 goals and get out to a 3 goal lead. Dawson goes back into the mids for the 4th and 5th centre bounces, gets the first clearance outright nailing mcluggage HTB and sends it fwd for a goal, is also involved in the crows getting the next centre clearance for another crows goal.

Hmmm, i think you want your best distributor kicking the ball inside 50, so i think the move to push Sheezel further up the ground is the correct one. Given the form of Fisher and McKercher since they have taken over Sheezel's role kind of tells me any old player can dominate in the cheap uncontested stats of half back role for north. Think Hall and Ziebell over the last couple of years as well.... Sheezel IMO is too good to be playing half back just getting easy touches, let spuds like Fisher do that and get your better players up the ground sending the ball inside 50. It will probs just take him a couple of weeks to settle into his new role.
