Apart from the Bevo factor Johannisen out until after round 15 has to be good for Freijah's job security. (Gardner is the other one named, out for 3 months)

Freijah has looked quite comfortable at the level in his first 2 games, has a great bye (round 15)/ nice half back role/ has DP/117K so is ticking many boxes for mine as a solid downgrade target this week.

That just about locks him in as my downgrade. Thought his role was very similar to JJ’s last week and could see JJ’s return heavily impacting him. He has been consistent in the VFL and his averages in all of his stats are scaled down a similar amount which makes me think he knows his role and he isn’t afraid of the new level.

Disposals 22.2 to 14.5
Kicks 14 to 9.5
Handballs 8.2 to 5
Marks 7.4 to 4
Tackles 1.6 to 1.5

Joe Richards for example reads:
Disposals 14.3 to 15
Kicks 8.8 to 9
Handballs 5.5 to 6
Marks 4.2 to 2
Tackles 2.3 to 5.5
Goals 2.2 to 1

He’s been less consistent in the VFL than Freijah which would make sense given his role. His disposals have translated perfectly. Marks and goals slightly down, but the thing I’m most concerned about is the tackles numbers. The most he had in a game was 4 and he’s gotten 11 in 2 games at AFL level. Don’t think that’s sustainable.

Aleer was on the injury report for 1-2 weeks with concussion last week.
From the GWS Website:

Defender Leek Aleer will continue to progress through the 12-day concussion protocols but is expected to be available for selection this weekend.
“Leek will continue to tick off his requirements under the protocols but at this stage is feeling well and progressing as expected,” Rahme said.
