1,135/9+C (Daicos)

20 playing, lowest 2 currently 66 and 54 (Freijah, Wilson).

So possibly 7+C 1,015.

Gawn, Oliver, Moyle, Miller, Flanders, Sexton, Closhey, Jackson, Serong, Young, Martin.

Gee that's a lot left for 2 games...

Probably sightly behind those with Bontempelli C and Moore, but not too bad.

If you’re sure Heeney outscores Serong in the second half of the season it’s worth looking at, but probably makes more sense to do it after this weekend. Otherwise you are effectively saying Serong would score worse than 66. May as well bank the points upside of whatever more than 66 Serong scores today, and then can assess during the week if you want to do the sideways move or not.
thanks for that, makes sense. Serong hasn't got a great history vs Melbourne, so thought if he scores 100, I would only be losing 30 odd points and make the trade this week rather than next week.
Next week perhaps but you must be really well set up for this week if you can afford to lose his score.
22 onfield this week. appreciate your thoughts. Might keep him until next week.

We really only have one game as a reference point of Serong playing as the number one Freo mid against the Dees and that's rd 11 2023 where his DE was a bit off that day and he still notched 93 SC points.

2022 he played two games against them but his CBA % was 48 and 52 for those games, so not a full time mid. In 2021 he did hit the ton against them off about 60% CBAs. Of note he was 20 years of age then, and he was a year younger when he still went over 90 against them in 2020 off about 70% CBAs (the pandemic season).

The Dees are one of the easiest matchups for inside mids over the last 5 games and Serong gets to play them twice on the run home: Freo have a good run home overall for inside mids.

I have one reservation on Serong but I'm looking at bringing him into my team at some stage regardless of that reservation after his bye.

I'll be on the road soon, but thought I'd post my thoughts. Is it worth trading a Serong to Heeney as Serong has the bye next week? Means I take a 66 from Freijah.
A very big NO!
this bye round is the easiest of the four so minimal trades should be used… less your short for next round and need to use more than 3 in round 13 to field 18…

Dawson with a sore foot, Crouch with an AC.
My semi-braindead move of bringing in a low tog/fading Rory Laird a month ago was all a work of instinctual genius :poop:
Haha. Until Nicks plays him at full forward. Coach says after playing Laird out of position for two weeks, that it was the wrong thing to do, and three weeks later does the same thing. That kind of coaching loses the players pretty quickly I imagine, and they certainly don't look like they are playing for him.
